Sun Rise - Menu

We had a wonderful lunch at Sun Rise. The menu had plenty of clearly labeled vegan options, and our server was able to inform us which ones were gluten-free. The vegan breakfast burrito was delicious, and my wife really enjoyed the tamales.

I tried the vegan soyrizo, black beans, and rice, and satisfied my sweet tooth with the vegan French toast. Everything was delicious. The best part was the separate section with 8-10 vegan options. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant.

this place is great! the vegan breakfast burrito is fired! and they have coffee with soy milk. a great place to the breakfast. eating is always served piping hot and fresh made. check hours online because they are not open daily and close them early. View menu

The restaurant serves delicious home-style food with a variety of Latin and American options on the menu. They also offer a wide selection of breakfast choices that are available all day. The prices are reasonable and the staff is incredibly friendly.

I loved this place. Just a few vegan options for breakfast but delicious breakfast burrito. And it was huge. We also got fried plantains which were out of this world. I'll dream about those plantains for years to come. Vegan tamales on the menu but they were out.

This is my go-to for early morning vegan eats in San Francisco. Their vegan breakfast burrito with house-made soyrizo, vegan french toast, tofu scramble, and vegan pupusas are all delicious. Several vegan options available. The burrito was really small but tasted all right, but the pupusa was stellar! I got the loroco one, which was the most Salvadoran option. I don’t know what the deal was with the salsa: it was very liquid-y and tasted like a shot of tomato juice. The curtido (coleslaw) was okay, too. Service is fairly slow, so don’t go when you’re in a hurry.

The breakfast burrito was satisfying, reasonably priced, and straightforward. But what stood out even more was the friendly service at this family-owned restaurant. The servers made me feel welcome and their hospitality truly enhanced my dining experience. One suggestion for improvement would be to group all the vegan items together on the menu for easier navigation, as they are currently scattered throughout the list. Apart from the breakfast burrito, other vegan options at Sunrise Restaurant include fajitas, french toast, and more. If you're in the Mission area, I recommend giving this spot a try for a tasty vegan brunch experience.
