Sushi Confidential San Jose

Average food but pricey for the quality and quantity of food. $40 with tip for a small avocado roll and veggie gyozo seen in pics attached. Nice outdoor seating. Good service. Polite waiter.

I dined here for the first time, and it was disappointing. The server took our orders, but instead of my katsu, I received a teriyaki dish. While that wasn't a huge issue, our server didn't come back afterwards. They didn't refill our water or provide napkins. Overall, I would rate the food as a 3 out of 5.

Food was good and venue was cool. Service was alright. I think they took a while to get our drinks and they forgot to bring us the spicy mayo so had to ask twice. Nobody greeted us when we walked in so we had to flag someone to be seated. A lil on the expensive side but it's also a night out type of environment so that's understandable. Food was good! This restaurant is fantastic, offering an extensive variety of sushi rolls. The ramen was also quite good. The atmosphere is delightful, and they have a spacious patio with an outdoor bar. The location is very convenient, right next to a parking lot. They also have a nice selection of starter options. Overall, I would rate the food a perfect 5 out of 5!

I visited during happy hour, and the atmosphere was relaxed and casual. My total came to $65, which isn’t bad, but it’s a bit on the expensive side for happy hour. The service was excellent, and the drinks were well-made. I would definitely come back, but I would likely skip the salmon nigiri next time. The rainbow roll was fantastic, though! The music was great, too! Overall, I’d give the food a 4 out of 5.

The food here was awful! I love sushi and honestly won’t complain too much about mediocre sushi, but the fish was so bad. It was definitely not fresh and has a strong fishy taste that was unpleasant. The poké bowl didn’t even come with any sauce and it was 75% rice. The vegetables on it were browning too. It was aggressively overprice for what you get. I went to the San Jose Location. My review is mixed. The food was ok, the staff was ok and the atmosphere was fine. One staff member came to our table and reeked of marijuana. A few other staff member were friendly and had great recommendations. Throughout my meal, staff members would come by asking if I needed anything , seconds after someone just inquired. But the first interactions and the constant interruptions just set the bad mood. The shishito peppers were delicious. The other vegan and non vegan rolls were ok. Delicious cocktails. This sushi restaurant has lots of unique, custom rolls. For vegetarians and vegans, it 's a true treat as they don 't just have the basic, boring options like avocado, cucumber, etc. They have an entire menu section devoted to plant-based sushi! I ordered two rolls for delivery. The Spicy Sherlock featured tempura jalapeño and cream cheese. I didn 't taste much of the fried crispiness of the tempura. The miso glaze was thick, chunky, savory, and a bit sour tasting so I don 't think I 'd order this again. I also got the Snitch with spicy tofu, avocado, and sweet potato crisps. I don 't usually leave negative reviews but when I do, my hope is the company will receive the feedback and do better.This is the first time I had ever been to sushi confidential at San Pedro and it might be my last due to the service here. I came here during my lunch break and at entry, it didn 't seem busy. Less than half of the tables were preoccupied for context. I was seated at the bar at 1:05pm and ordered my food 1:10pm. I ordered the bento box 3 items: CA roll, tempura sashimi. There was another person at the bar who ordered their food at around the same time as me.
