"We were at DC for the Thanksgiving break and stayed at the Marriott Crystal city hotel. I did my research before the trip and was eager to give this restaurant a try. I must said this place is beyond my expectation. The place is small and only have about three seats in front of the sushi bar. We ordered few things for to go to have our dinner at our hotel room. The quality and freshness of the food were very good. The Manu is not big, but it has most of the essential items you will see in most of Japanese restaurants. Do not surprised that the owner does not look like a Japanese. He definitely knows his sushi and I can see and taste the real Japanese taste in his food. If we visit the DC again, we will definitely go back to this restaurant again. Highly recommend this place."

Ready made sushi box was a bit more expensive than elsewhere in the USA but tasted good. The counter person was friendly.

I visited this restaurant two years ago, and it hasn't changed a bit. The portion sizes are generous, the sushi is incredibly fresh, and the prices are very reasonable. I'll definitely be coming back!

It's a little counter buried in the Crystal City underground, and it's a gem. Reliable, tasty sushi. Miso included with rolls! The staff is really nice. There are a few stools if you want to eat in, which seems very Tokyo Underground.Food: 5/5

I came in with low expectations given that this is subway station sushi, but it’s surprisingly really good. Fresh, good portions, and very well priced. Similar quality to a higher end sushi buffet type place, but much cheaper. $5 gets you like 8 pieces of spicy tuna. Hard to beat. View menu

The sushi was fresh and authentic. There are only three or four seats for dining in, making it less suitable for large groups unless you're ordering takeout or delivery. The prices are quite reasonable; we fed three people and had plenty of leftovers for about $75, including a $15 tip.

Sushi garden is easily some of the best sushi I have had in NoVA. Not only is everything fresh and made to order, but the chefs are very friendly and fun. I most times will get takeaway as this location only has a handful of seats but occasionally will dine at the bar. They are very attentive and will even make you off the menu items if it's not too busy. Highly recommend everything on the menu.

This is my favorite Sushi ? place! The price is reasonable for high quality sushi. The sushi chef is very friendly and passionate about his job. He always greets you. I have been coming to this sushi garden for many years and I am a satisfied returning costumer. My two kids were introduced to Sushi at this place and they both love it! I strongly recommend it. This place honors it name SUSHI GARDEN? View menu

Fresh and well-prepared sushi in a convenient location—what’s not to love? They offer takeout meals, but there's also a sushi bar and a kitchen for hot dishes, along with a small seating area for dining in. It’s a great spot whether you’re in a hurry or looking to relax over your meal. The Salmon Special is quite tasty; while it’s not extraordinary, it’s definitely above average and comes with a delicious miso soup! You really can’t go wrong here. Overall, it’s a reliable choice for good, quick sushi.

I visited D.C. this weekend while traveling from out of state. Even though I arrived close to closing time, the chef was incredibly kind and made some fresh sushi for me to take out. Later, another chef came out and surprised me with a complimentary sushi box, which was such a generous gesture considering it was almost time to close and there was leftover sushi. Experiences like this remind me of the wonderful, kind people I've met during my travels. It truly made my day! Thank you! By the way, the sushi was delicious, and I absolutely loved it.

"Affordable large helpings. Decent coffee. Family owned run.Skillet used to be in an old diner on the corner of Bowen Division. Definitely needed upgrades. Service was good, wait staff friendly. Weekends would be PACKED. Like line out the door. Also had an early morning group of people that would be there at 5 am and eat drink coffee for a couple of hours. Kind of place you liked because it was comfortable, but you wished it looked better.Fast forward to their new location up the street. Used to be an Italian restaurant definitely not what Skillet "feels "like. A much bigger restaurant, same menu. They open at 5 and serve comfort food basically. The servings are always huge and most of the time the food is good. I usually ask for my bacon to be extra crispy, but not burned. I have gotten every thing from still oinking to flat out burned. The cook knows he 's either putting semi raw or totally burned bacon on my plate and the waitresses can see what he puts on my plate not acceptable at all. Most of the time it 's fine. If you like firm scrambled eggs, tell them you want a hard scramble, but not brown. They do well on the over medium fried eggs most of the time (far better than Crackerbarrel). I don 't recommend the pancakes or waffles too dense not a good flavor. Omelets are massive!I usually eat breakfast there, so I have not tried any lunch items, except the BLT, which is good.Bottom line decent comfort food, reasonable prices, large portions.Wheelchair accessibility: Definitely wheelchair/handicap accessible."
