"Like another reviewer stated, DO NOT LET THIS LITTLE PLACE FOOL YOU! Every New Years Eve, we get sushi champagne to usher in the New Year with. It's our tradition and since we are still fairly new to Columbia SC, We had to ask around about where to get the best sushi. Well we only tried one of the two places that came HIGHLY recommended and words can not describe how disappointed we were. They were expensive for NO reason. They were ok, but coming from a state that does sushi really well, we were just not that impressed. This year, we tried this little joint when a friend of ours recommended it, and let me tell you, we are just blown away! So fresh, and so good! I mean melted in my mouth GOOD and it rivals the restaurants back home! Did I mention that they have buy one get one FREE sushi rolls?! You don't even have to get the same roll which gives you a chance to try out different kinds of rolls for SO much less money than the fancier restaurants because their prices are as impressive as their food. Try this little spot...trust me on this!"

This food was horrific. I had the steak hibachi and let me tell you, that was not steak. Their yummy sauce was so sweet like icing. The rice didn't taste like rice. Don't eat here

always delicious sushi rolls! and such a great value. however..... im not sure what this slimy black stuff is (its supposed to be eggplant teriyaki), but atleast the fried rice it came with was yummy!

Worst food I’ve ever tasted ! $25 dollars right in the trash . This is NOT hibachi food and the white sauce tasted sour . 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!! WASTE OF MONEY!!! The steak wasn’t really steak and the shrimp was not cooked all the way ! WORST experience!!

We ordered sushi online and picked it up ourselves. It was ready on time. Employees were friendly. Good prices and great food. Generous portions, there are still leftovers in my fridge. Expertly packed for take out as well. What more can I say! I'll gladly order from here again.

I'm sorry to report that I had to ask DoorDash for a $97 credit, which I ultimately discarded. I ended up ordering from McDonald's instead. Unfortunately, the sauces were extremely bland—almost as if they were watered down. Even the soy sauce packets had no flavor. First visit... the sushi was a great price and tasted really good. I love crunchy California rolls but the crunchy rolls here have tempura shrimp. It was still good but it was fried hard. I asked if she could put sauce on the California rolls as well and she did. It really enhanced the flavor. My daughter tried the sesame chicken and rice. She said it was good but I noticed there wasn't any sauce on the chicken. We will definitely be back... buy one get one free sushi rolls will allow me to order my favorite while trying something new.

Dingy little takeout place in a rough spot with difficult access if you are heading West on Elmwood. Quick, nice staff.Flavor of sauce below average for teriyaki, but they pulled off the rare feat of keeping white meat chicken chunks tender and juicy, and the veggies still crunchy. That goes a long way in my book and so I enjoyed it. Price high at $12, but it was a huge portion so I'm satisfied. Yum yum sauce more gingery and sweet than most places heavy mayo one. I liked it, but the size tub was way too small for the amount of food, same with an extra $0.50 eel sauce tub.I'll come back and update w more dishes.Update: I've since had red curry chicken, also very good.
