"An impromptu date night with the Mrs and our usual sushi spot (a 3.5-4/5 at best) being booked (AYCE so people stay longer) a quick search for spots nearby found Sushi Bear. Good ratings, pictures of what my wife described as a “cute” inside and the name (wife has always called me Bear, so Sushi Bear was a sign) we decided to give it a shot. After being seated I can attest that the inside was indeed “cute” we ordered a few items off the menu and absolutely everything was perfection. Miso soup was great and plentiful. The garlic soy sauce edamame was like nothing we’ve had before even though we always try to order the garlic style edamame at sushi spots. Addicting. We got a few items but the main highlights start with the bear style carpaccio (fresh and delicious, wife usually will only eat salmon but ventured to try the other 3 types of fish presented and liked them). And then the star of the evening was the Sunrise Roll. We always try to find a type of roll that’s like a California roll with salmon and lemon slices on top. Some places have variations, others we need to ask nicely, but the sunrise roll was that to perfection. When it showed up without visible lemon slices I asked about it and was told they were under the salmon rather than the usual over we’d seen at other places. This simple change transformed the way this roll is enjoyed as you get the hint of lemon slice rather than hit with that first. Everything else was wonderful, even the ginger tasted fresh, and the service was great. Can’t wait to come back."

I'm so glad that I found this place where I can get sushi in great quality and with reasonable prices. I will definitely come back to try their rolls too!!

Server was great. This type of sushi is more like a park and run. Fish taste good, had better. Everything else was good. Not great but good . Would I go back? Probly not.Food: 3/5

Been coming here for 5+ years and even though I had them a few days ago, I would eat there twice today and not even be mad about it.I love Sushi Bear. Whenever I can't decide where to eat, my boyfriend knows he can just pick up Sushi Bear. View menu

The food here is incredibly delicious and authentic. The uni was fresh, and everything tasted delightful. The atmosphere was pleasant and inviting. For my appetizer, I had edamame, and for lunch, I enjoyed a bento box along with a sushi and sashimi combo. Additionally, the restaurant is wheelchair accessible and has plenty of space.

This restaurant is a charming little traditional sushi spot. The location is understated, but the food is outstanding. Everything we ordered was delicious and delightful. The salmon lemon drop was particularly tasty. I was pleasantly surprised by the size, texture, and flavor of the appetizer. My mom, who is hard to please, was thrilled with her salmon bento box. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for fresh sushi.

I absolutely love discovering hidden gems, and my visit here was one of the best sushi meals I've ever had. The "Crunch" roll was my favorite for its incredible taste and texture, closely followed by the "Holy Cow" roll. The food was delicious, the staff was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere was fantastic. I highly recommend this place to any sushi lovers out there. As for kid-friendliness, it’s great! There are plenty of roll options for kids. View menu

We came here on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't very crowded and the service was great! The quality of the sushi was amazing. The portion sizes were decent too and prices were not bad. The inside of the restaurant is really cute too. My only complaint was that they don't have any pictures of the food on the menu. They have a lot of options (which is a good thing) but it was pretty overwhelming trying to decide without any pictures. I ended up using the pictures on yelp to help out but it was still difficult going back and forth looking for specific items on yelp from the menu.

Sushi Bear is another of the many Tustin gems I managed to overlook. Based on the numerous positive Yelp reviews, I decided to give it a whirl for a mid-week lunch. I'm glad I did. The menu is extensive with something to please just about everyone. I chose the Number Four Sushi Bear Combo consisting of six pieces of Sashimi, ten pieces of chef's choice Nigiri Sushi, a roll, salad, and Miso soup. It wasn't cheap, and it was easily enough for two, but I thought why not? You only live once, right? I somehow managed to polish off all of it save for about four pieces of the roll when I was thoroughly stuffed and had to tap out. I washed it all down with a large Sapporo as one does. Every bit of i...

"We wanted to try Zov's Bistro and found this restaurant next to it and packed of people. I smelled all the delicious food and was surprised that yelp never recommended this restaurant in Tustin. We ended up changing our mind to give it a try since I have never tried Malaysia cuisine and love trying something new. We ordered calamari, crab rangoon, and a cup of hot and sour soup as appetizers. It was the best fried calamari we ever had, super flavorful and crispy good quality calamari. It was not over breaded or double fried like a lot of fried calamari from other restaurants. Also the best fresh hot and sour soup I have ever had, the peppers the egg and the vinegar just exactly the right portion. The rangoons were basic with fake crab, but a good portion at a great price. For entrees, we ordered Beef Rendang and the seafood clay pot curry with coconut rice chiken rice. You can choose normal steam rice, brown rice, coconut rice and chicken rice. OMG, the coconut rice is like a dessert, smell delicious and it is such a great taste. Seafood clay pot is sooooooo good with fish, scallop, tofu, bunch of veggies and eggplant all in a spicy and savory broth. The beef rendang is soft, flavorful, and great quality. The curry spices used perfectly complimented the meat without overpowering it. It you want to try extremely good Malaysia food!! Definitely give this place a try."

"We are repeat customers of ChaCha 's and have been coming for years. We typically order the same dishes, but when we 've tried new things we haven 't been disappointed. The Carnitas here is special, lots of crispy bits every time, a very generous portion, good veggie accompaniments and excellent flavor (original recipe and their updated one as well). My partner typically enjoys the trio of different enchiladas. Chacha 's is a cut above on quality of food and flavor, they are a cut above on overall atmosphere and service is typically a huge cut above most restaurants in the area. Today 's server, Omar Lopez, delivered on that point perfectly. He 's obviously a professional server and it shows. I can 't tell you how much I enjoy having a server that is an expert at their craft and able to make a dining experience memorable. I would ask specifically for him next time. Their prices here are on par with any other full service Mexican restaurant. Delivering higher quality all around for the same price as anywhere else? That 's excellent value. This is not a hole in the wall taqueria or a small family-run establishment; we enjoy that kind of vibe as well, but ChaCha 's IS a breath of fresh air, a clearly well thought out concept, and a consistently nice experience. I personally dig the are we indoors or outdoors? vibe and there is often live music on the weekends that fits in perfectly. This place definitely attracts a trendy crowd and they offer a brunch menu and bottomless mimosas to them. If that 's your thing, have at it here. We typically make a reservation to be safe and I 've seen looong waits before. As good as this place is, I wouldn 't wait 45 minutes. Just make a reservation and you 're good to go."
