"This restaurant is an amazing hidden gem! I usually don't write reviews, but this place is worth it. I've been to their breakfast a few times and it's the best I've had in the Cape Coral/Fort Myers area. I always order their crepes – they are so tasty with just the right amount of sweetness! Everything is fresh and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The interior is charming and reminds me of my grandmother's house. The toffee coffee is delicious and the service is excellent from the moment you walk in. The owner or manager also made sure we were well taken care of. The menu offers a variety of options and the staff is very welcoming. As someone who works in the restaurant industry, it's hard to find places with genuine customer service and delicious food. The prices are reasonable for the quality and presentation of the meals. Support this local business! I left feeling full and happy. I can't wait to come back."

eating is great. the service is terrible. the owner is rude and hastened insults to my friend, who would complain about a table that is available but would not sit.

Lovely place inside. Service was very poor. Had never been there before and was not told how to get coffee, just handed empty cups.(You have to get up and serve yourself we learned) Myself and 2 friends came for brunch. Food was mediocre. Our server never even checked if we needed anything or how our meal was. We left a tip but it really wasn't warranted.

The food at this restaurant is fantastic, but unfortunately, the service is terrible. The owner was very rude and even insulted my friend when she complained about not being seated at a table even though we were waiting for a third person who was running late due to a medical emergency. When we voiced our frustration, the owner told us to leave and even used a racial slur against us as we were walking out. This is the third negative experience I've had at this restaurant, and I will not be returning. View menu

We've been frequenting Sweet Bean for ten+ years. David and his team pay attention to detail. Everything on his menu is done to perfection. They offer a great variety of fresh ground coffee from around the world, which is also available for purchase. His cakes are out of this world- all made in-house. Expect to pay a fair price for a great product. And realize during busy hours, you may have to wait for 15-30 minutes. There is a reason locals frequent Sweet Bean- and you'll see the same faces over and over.

this place is so cool! the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. the staff is friendly and helpful. the place is beautiful! this is not your dad's diner! it has beautiful sitting to the breakfast and lunch, but even more, it has wooden floors, leather couches and upbeat music. I went for a coffee while my wife was outpatient. I sat for hours when I was waiting. I only bought one (delict) cheese Danish and one coffee and they kept checking on me. the menu and the food coming looked delicious. I'm sorry I'm eating before I'm here!

"The shrimp egg roll was large and crispy, with a cooked cabbage filling instead of raw, and the shrimp were noticeably big and flavorful. I was truly impressed! I could easily make a meal out of just the egg rolls. The Kyoto sushi roll was fresh, which is a must for sushi—I'd definitely order it again. The crab Rangoon was also good and fresh. Everything was so delicious that I ended up ordering extra shrimp egg rolls and crab Rangoon for the kids back home. The portion sizes and quality made it well worth the price, and I spent just over $40, including the second round of appetizers. I made sure to tip the waitress for her excellent service. We returned just a week later, as we were all raving about the shrimp egg rolls. This time, we opted for takeout. I ordered a bento box with fried rice, shrimp, a shrimp egg roll, and miso soup ($14.95). My aunt got a bento box too, which included extra crab Rangoon and shrimp egg rolls. The food was neatly packaged and organized by order—very impressive! Everything was hot and tasted great, with enough food in each bento box to satisfy two people. The vegetables and rice were fresh, and the miso soup helped me feel better since I was a bit under the weather. Overall, it's a solid 5 out of 5 for me. The location is convenient, the outdoor area is clean, and the interior, while small, is tidy and has a pleasant aroma. The decor is nice, and the service was excellent on both visits. I highly recommend checking them out—you won’t be disappointed!"
