"I ate at Sweet Lou’s in Coeur d’Alene for the first time on Monday, April 25. 2022. I went for lunch with my wife, our two small children (5-year-old and 2-year-old), and my in-laws. It is in a cool spot and the restaurant is clean and aesthetically pleasing. The menu offers plenty of options, including a children’s menu. We ordered onion rings for an appetizer and they were large, crispy, and delicious. For my entrée, I ordered the BBQ chicken sandwich. To be honest, my sandwich was a little dry and was simply average. French fries didn’t seem to be cooked to perfection. Also, it took a long time to get both our appetizer and entrees. For Monday lunch, I would have thought we would have been served in a prompter manner. Sweet Lou’s has a lot going for it but I wasn’t impressed with the food or service. The next time we visit CDA we will most likely go somewhere else."

Wait staff were cordial and swift and the service was great. The food left more to be desired. We ordered a bison burger and a jalapeno burger. I wanted the jalapeno burger medium rare but it was overcooked and had no natural juice in it.

The waiting staff were friendly and quick, providing excellent service. However, the food could have been better. We ordered a Bisonburger and a Jalapenoburger. I asked for the jalapeno burger to be cooked medium rare, but it came out overcooked and lacked any natural juices.

This restaurant has an excellent location and a fantastic atmosphere. The menu offers a wide variety of options, and everyone really enjoyed their meals, particularly the fish and chips. Parking is abundant and convenient. While the service was satisfactory, it was occasionally a bit slow considering the number of servers available. The prices are what you'd expect for this kind of establishment. I will definitely return to dine here again!

I'm from Tennessee and was on a school trip when I stumbled upon this highly-rated restaurant. It turned out to be my favorite meal of the trip! I ordered the Bisonburger and the cream cheese egg rolls, and I couldn't have been happier. The photos do justice to the food. If you get the chance, please do yourself a favor and order the egg rolls—they were paired with an amazing sauce and were some of the best appetizers I've ever tasted. I'll be dreaming about them for a long time! View menu

We tried Sweet Lou's for the first time last night. I had the shrimp tacos which were pretty alright however i did choose to add avocado, but my cousin got the Mac n cheese because that's usually a safe bet. Wrong. In this case if you don't like Velveetayou will not like their Mac. The restaurant does not have liquor but they do have beer and canned cocktail beverages. I didenjoy the seating area, you can choose inside or out in the warmer months and the atmosphere was pretty good.

Out of 4 take out dinners, only 1 order was correct. We ordered Mahi tacos but got chicken tacos (and the chicken was dry). The kids menu item had fry sauce instead of blue cheese. And most disappointing was the gourmet grilled cheese. We asked for no tomato and no mayo, and got only tomato and mayo (tomato not shown in picture). The sandwich was missing the bacon, basil spread, and havarti cheese. The sandwich was inedible. Ordering here was a total waste of money and we will never do it again. View menu

One of my new favorite restaurants in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, is Sweet Lou's, which is situated at the base of a stylish condo tower. I ordered the half sandwich and soup for lunch, priced at just $8.50, which was both filling and incredibly delicious! My wife opted for the BLT-A, which includes bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, and avocado. She kindly shared her fries with me, and they were fantastic! Overall, it was a lovely lunch experience at a very reasonable price. The service, food, prices, and view were all excellent, not to mention the fantastic location!

Really good experience during Restaurant Week! Appetizers were the egg rolls stuffed with cream cheese/shredded cheese mixture and calamari. The egg rolls were really flavorful and the calamari cooked perfectly. The majority of us got the lobster roll for our entree and it was better than expected! Great flavor and not heavy on the mayonnaise at all. Desserts were the Ghirardelli brownie, chocolate chip cookie, and chocolate peanut butter cheesecake. Each one provided a nice sweet bite to end the meal! They have a house IPA brewed by Laughing Dog that we really enjoyed as well!

"We typically don't go out of Spokane for food unless it's to Wolf Lodge Steakhouse. My boyfriend was working in Couer d'Alene, and noticed Izzy's. I have been wanting to try Izzy's for a long time. It's a nice small corner restaurant with a sidewalk patio with umbrellas. There was a half hour wait for patio seating which we didn't mind. We were there on Ironman weekend. The downtown was packed. I ordered the lavender mimosa, which was rimmed with sugar, nice and refreshing . The lavender wasn't overpowering. The bloody Mary's were delicious and zangy. We enjoyed the toppings of pepper, some tomato looking vegetable, olive, green bean and bacon. The spices were perfectly blended. I ordered the Benedict with potato's and my my partner ordered the chicken fried steak. The egg was perfectly poached, nice and runny. I enjoyed the thick slices of Canadian ham, there was plenty of it, on top of a fresh made biscuit. The chicken fried steak was a prefect portion. It came with sunny side eggs , a biscuit and potatoes. I love their fresh made biscuits. They were soft and flaky. I finished my partners biscuit. The star of the meal are the potato's and the garlic aioli. The potato's were seasoned perfectly and almost seems like their twice fried because they were crunchy yet still had potato inside. I dream of the potato's and garlic aioli. Would definitely try again, and try their dinner menu as well!"

"Tldr; they might wear caps, but don't wear nets. Bring them a smoking gun, or good luck. And never order from them near closing time unless you plan on going over the food or making the pie immediately just in case you want to avoid a crummy situation. In any case, Yesterday I ordered 4 pizzas to pick up at 8:30, brought them home to make when the wife was done working, and the first two pizzas we decided to make had blonde hairs in them. My hair is black, the kid's and the wife's are either dyed or not blonde, so that just leaves the store. Since I don't eat the cowboy, the only picture we have is from the wife who managed to think better than me, cause I tossed both it, and a meat lovers out, because we couldn't eat them and couldn't call the place to complain. Having thought I'd lost the receipt as well, I resigned myself to be down two pizzas. Fast forward to today, when I find the receipt balled up in the car, so I went to the store. Got told that since I didn't have the pizzas or proof, I could only get a 50% discount on a single pie. A quick call to the wife to relay the decision unearthed the pic the kids took, for which they would only credit me for a single pizza, when I was down two. Fan-flipping-tastic. Normally, my rating would be a 5, as the pizzas are good since you make them at home and fresh pizza slaps; but last night, I had a pretty bad experience. If I order again, guess I'll be going over anything I buy with a magnifying glass and a polarioid just in case. Also, blonde hairs blend in pretty well when cooked in grease; who'd have thunk?"
