"First time trying Taco Fam. Ordered a regular margarita with strawberry bubbles and a Tajin rim, it was very weak. We started with queso which came out cold. I ordered a rice bowl with carnitas. The meat was fantastic, great flavor and crispy, although I wish there were more. There was less than 2 ounces in my bowl. The bowl mainly consisted of plain white rice which really made it bland overall. We also had birra tacos, which were good and included a cup of juice to dip. The refried beans and Mexican rice were just ok. The churros were hot and yummy. Overall with the small meat portions and weak margs, the price was high. I think we will try it again if we are in town but probably won't go out of my way for it."

Overall, the food is tasty but lacks a true authentic touch. Nonetheless, for just $10, it's a great deal as it includes rice, beans, and a drink. Food rating: 3/5.

The Rice Bowl is my favorite go-to! It is fantastic and don't get me started on how good the Churros are. I got the Chicken Rolled Fried Tacos for my husband he loved them. Really happy that we have a fresh option in this town now.

We tried Taco Fam for the first time today and we were blown away. I got the quesabirria tacos and my husband got the chorizo tacos as well as the churros. Everything was absolutely delicious and we have definitely found our new favorite place.

This was my first and certainly my last visit to this restaurant. I was quite disappointed—the rice was flavorless, and the beans tasted as if they had come straight from a can. As for the carnitas, they were nothing like any carnitas I've experienced at other Mexican restaurants; they were truly awful. Overall, I would rate the food a 1 out of 5. View menu

Ala carte 4 dollar tacos, the menu when looking up this place is incorrect/pictures etc.. 3 tacos just tacos cilantro and onion , ground beef no beans no rice 12 bucks!! I guess the meals might be a cheaper way to go, if you have a family make sure to have extra money I couldn't imagine paying 50 dollars for 16 tacos to go. The other posts are from another place when they were at the old gas station, loved it when it was there we used to go all the time when thereTacos were $2.30.

Overall, I had a very good experience at this restaurant during my first visit. While the prices were somewhat on the higher side, I appreciated that the meals included a fountain drink, which made it feel more justified. However, I wished the experience felt a bit more personal, as I have encountered in other establishments. The fact that my dine-in food was served in a Styrofoam takeout container gave me the impression that they wanted to rush me out. I would rate the food 4 out of 5.

"On paper, Spengler 's was a restaurant I should have absolutely loved. It is a long-running, historic establishment located in an equally historic building filled with lots of local character. Additionally as a mom-and-pop restaurant, it positively exuded the 'small town charm ' vibe that I typically adore. However both times I have had lunch at Spengler 's, the generally clueless wait staff have killed the entire experience for me. The first time I went to Spengler 's I had the lunch special chicken breast sandwich, with a side of macaroni and cheese, a cup of the New England clam chowder, and a Pepsi. When I ordered the sandwich, I asked what came on it, and my waiter had to go ask someone in the kitchen. Likewise when I ordered the cup of soup, I asked a question about it, and he had to go back to the kitchen to ask them. Later, I wanted to use a coupon for a free slice of pie, and you guessed it, he had to go ask the kitchen. The food itself was good in an average-sort of way, and the portions were also averagely good, but it really irritated me that I had to ask every time for refills on my soda, and then it took forever to get them. This meal cost $13.96 before tax and tip, but after coupon, which made it about average in value. My second lunch at Spengler 's was with a different, but equally clueless server. This waitress also had to run and ask someone else when I asked questions about the Hawaiian grilled cheese. Same thing when I asked how to connect to their new wifi. Exactly like my first trip there, I had to ask for drink refills, and each one was a long time coming. The Hawaiian grilled cheese sandwich itself was pretty good, if pricy. PROS: I loved the historic character of the restaurant; the food was pretty average on balance, as were both the portion sizes and prices. CONS: Wait staff. Full stop. Engaging, friendly, knowledgeable wait staff can make or break a dining experience, and both of my trips to Spengler 's were turned from a decidedly average meal into a just OK one by the complete cluelessness of the service. Overall I rate Spengler 's as being OK, and might or might not come back."
