"Most food is ok, but their Albondigas is so bad that I cannot give them more than 2 stars. Albondigas is a staple of good Mexican food and their version is, by far, the most flavorless, laziest, awful version I've ever tasted. The broth is awful and that's a big deal. The vegetables they chose to add are HUGE cuts, and many of the vegetable choices are weird and nothing I've ever seen in other versions of albondigas. Never in my life have I had Albondigas with TONS of cabbage. To make matters worse, the meatballs are somehow overcooked and just plain awful. Frankly, it tasted like someone who has never had Albondigas soup tried to make their own recipe and I paid $14 for the privilege to try such an awful version. I liked Tacos Mendoza before this, but there is no excuse for how AWFUL this soup was."

This little “hole” in the wall is excellent. They have great tasting food, and chips and salsa. Really good chili Colorado and asada.

Taco Mendoza is my top choice whenever I'm in the mood for enchiladas! The food is truly amazing. The staff is friendly, and the restaurant is spotless. I highly recommend Taco Mendoza to everyone!

Absolutely LOVE this place. They're always busy they still get the food out quickly. They're a large variety of food to choose from. My favorite is their Breakfast Burrito (bacon, eggs, potatoes cheese). They're filling can usually feed me twice unless I'm starving, lol. Check them out, you won't be disappointed!

The food was just okay; the flavors in my carne asada burrito were quite bland. I’m not a fan of carne asada made with ground beef, especially when it’s filled with rice and beans. I wish I had tried the al pastor instead, but I’m not sure it would have been much better. Unfortunately, Ventura County doesn't have great Mexican food—I've had much better experiences in San Diego, like at Roberto's Taco Shop! View menu

Tacos Mendoza will always be my favorite Mexican food spot in Ventura. I left Ventura in 2018, but every time I come visit, Mendoza is my first stop. The food is incredible, the service is excellent. I would commit violent crimes in honor of Tacos Mendoza. Bringing people who have not experienced the beauty of this food is an absolute treat, because it allows me to spread the greatness of Mendoza, as if I were a 13th century missionary spreading the gospel of the good book.

I was looking for a quick bite to eat and stumbled across this gem. I ordered a carne asada torta and al pastor tacos. The torta was a generous portion and the asada was tasty but my favorite part of the meal was the delicious pastor they cooking up, the meat was tender and juicy and full of flavor. They also have complimentary chips and salsa and other fixings to go with your food. The service was also quick and friendly and the price was great. I’d definitely come back again!

"This place has something for everyone. They have SO many specials, two menus for lunch specials, then if you miss this they have an early dinner special as well as regular dinner specials, special chef's dinner, low fat menus (food is steamed and you can choose the sauce which you can add on yourself) and dim sum (biggest sui mai) I've ever seen, they have northern Chinese dishes and traditional Cantonese dishes (like egg foo young, which someone called an omelette LOL. Although not the healthiest for people ordering from the healthy menu when you order a dinner vs a la carte, you get a wonton skin appetizer which are like tortilla chips you get in Mexican restaurant which will take the edge off your appetite until you get your entrees. Also not on the menu, they do something that Chinese restaurants used to do, which is serve you a pot of tea, jasmine, which they give you without charge ! They put the money in portion size (large amount of meat) not in the overhead as the place is very simple.Want to address some criticisms, someone claimed that their dish only have celery, the menu describes what vegetables are in the dishes, if you get one that just says vegetables, you will get a large variety that includes mini corn, mushrooms and water chestnuts ! They do have a photo menu in the restaurant posted but a HUGE printed one. Unlike another review there is NO brewery below but they DO serve liquor. And they are very pleasant and I have the feeling if you are unhappy about something they will please you,"
