"Northwest Reno Mexican Restaurant Tour. First time here. Ordered the Flautas. Food was warm when I arrived. Cashier was prompt and quick at handling my order. The store was clean and all the employees looked to be staying busy, but it wasn't too packed in the store (just a few customers). The Flautas were good. They were basic. There wasn't anything in the seasoning or the ingredients that stuck out, but as Flautas they were tasty. Sometimes food doesn't need to be dolled up to be good, and Tacos El Rey does it well. The food looks fine and tastes fine."

The food is consistently excellent. My personal favorite is the shredded beef, which boasts incredible flavor with a hint of sweetness. Food Rating: 5/5.

This place is fantastic! The homemade tortillas and pastor are delicious. The service is friendly, and the restaurant is clean. I’ve finally found my go-to spot! Food: 5/5

Good food, just be persistent as I stood there for like 10 minutes while my food sat on the counter waiting to be picked up. Otherwise super polite staff and good service.Food: 5/5

Was alright. Kinda sucked that they took 25 out out of the 30 minutes that I have for a break to make an order of Asada Fries, but they're good, mainly at their location by Total Wine. View menu

I decided to give this restaurant another try after my first experience, where the Cameroon's rancheros was not properly peeled or deveined. Unfortunately, this time half of the shrimp was also not deveined. I won't be returning. Food rating: 2/5.

0 STARS!! There was hair in my food and the lady who took my order said I was lying because everyone had their hair in hair nets when I saw the cooks pony tail swinging!! When I told her she hung up on me and I called back and she hung up on me again. Carne Asada Tacos View menu

Menudo was on the edge of going bad, old. Always had been fresh and flavorful. This time bland and ready to be sour.Taco salad and beef quesadilla was ok, also bland compare to usual time there. Been going for over 10 years plus to the Sutro St storeParking: Large parking lot for the surrounding businesses

Customer service wasn't exceptional, just regular bland service. I still tipped them. I ordered red chicken enchiladas. They were okay nothing extraordinary. They did charge me for a side of sour cream. Which I thought was odd. Most places they have the sour cream on the side of the plate. The place wasn't busy at all, the waitress never asked how I was doing or if I needed anything. Idk if I'd be coming back.
