"I'm a regular to the Tacos La Bala on Gessner (Carverdale), this is a complete opposite of that location. We arrived Sunday good 20 min before 11, my son wanted breakfast tacos and we were told they were not serving breakfast anymore. Given menu states up to 11 or additional charge..... we ordered our food, tomatadas, burritos, and fajita tacos, not impressed, it was lacking flavor. The pastor was basically bond pork with chunks of pineapple. Asked for salsa, and were told they were in a mini fridge by the soda dispenser.... Salsa verde with aguacate(another of my favorite from other location) looked like it had been sitting for days and not sanitary as it had a spoon with red sauce on it. Also asked for their green hot sauce and told they only had what was in the fridge...... man I'm. It one time do reviews, but this merits one. If you are the owner of the Taco Bala you need to look into this location and address the opportunities. I will be taking the drive to the opposite side of town next time I want to show my family some amazing Mexican food!"

None of the staff, front or kitchen, are wearing masks. Besides masks, no hair nets, gloves, or other sanitary equipment is being worn either.

Food is good here, the only thing is that they take long for the food. It's a bit expensive compared to you taco truck right outside the curb. Literally crossing the street. But I would go here for a takeout with a lot of time to get my order on time. View menu

I would give it a zero if possible. The staff is incredibly rude, and the customer service is the worst I've ever experienced. They really need to hire new cashiers and employees, and the manager should take action to address these issues. Food rating: 1/5.

Been going to the first location since 06Today i got a fajita burrito, fajita was a little dry which, but ok still. Downside was the pricing for drink. How does the price not change with cup size? Laziness or neglect, either way a small beverage is the same price of a large.

I have posted about this place in the past and you can't go wrong with this place. I have worked in El Paso and this place is the closest I can find to El Paso, TX Mexican food. In always get the tacos and the plates are awesome also. Went there the other day. Got me 4 tacos and a small bowel of charo beans. Back in the day the price was pretty reasonable. The price was almost $20! Holy smoke. It's not there fault they are just trying to make a living but inflation it hurting everyone and or everyone is feeling it also. Merry Christmas everyone! Their pricing is questionable. The menu says $7 for the small menudo. But the girl at the front said it was $9 because of tax. Um okay… right….I asked for the manager and he just pointed to a paper note on the window that prices were subject to change.Maybe take the effort to write the changed prices and post them on the window? Isn’t that fair? Also the small menudo is the size of a coffee mug. Doesn’t seem right to charge $9 for that.Like the other reviews have noted, the customer service is quite poor. The girl at the register thought I was being difficult. The food is alright but keep in mind the management and staff at this location really don’t care about your dining experience. It’s o...

Never going here again. You need to tell your employees how to do customer service right. This is not the first time I’ve had a bad experience. I called in my order around 2:00pm for pick up and I arrive to pick up my food and noticed the door was locked and the open sign was on. There was literally 4 people and I outside knocking on the door for almost 10 minutes waiting to pick up our food some lady comes out and didn’t explain why they were closed and she didn’t let us in and the lights were on and everything. I just don’t understand why they didn’t call me to let me know they were closed or something was wrong with there system or something but no the lady didn’t know what to say and whe...

"Food good. Location good. Service good. BUT, the hidden charges REALLY ruined an otherwise nice experience. Example: HH menu lists Martinis as a $3 upcharge to the $7 base charge. Fair enough. Bombay is a listed alcohol; requested. When the bill was returned I was charged for a Bombay Sapphire which is not on the HH list. Charge? $11 $3. I asked for Bombay, not Bombay Sapphire. Waiter: Oh, let me look into that. AND, by the way Blue Cheese olives? Extra $1. REALLY? I 've NEVER paid extra for BC olives ANYWHERE. AND the confusing menus that a dish as including an extra sauce, [and I don 't recall the exact language but it made it seem that an additional items could be selected as well. Oops, there goes an extra $10.95. AND, the waiter recommending a twice-baked potato. Bah, boom, another $5.95. [which in fairness is disclosed on the menu in a different location, but waiter made it sound as if it was a no-charge option on the surf and turf. AND the split plate charge which I don 't think was disclosed on the menu. Ding, ding, extra $3.00. Was this a waiter, who was overly up-selling or restaurant deception? Don 't know. As I said, the food WAS good. AND, the ambience [at least in the bar area, stay away of the hotel-ballroom-like main dining area was nice. Just beware the nickel and dime charges that the waiter won 't be disclosing to you."
