"My father and I stopped by this restaurant after taking a walk nearby. We discovered it by chance as most other restaurants in the area were closed until dinner. The service was excellent and attentive. The special waiter and I ordered were delicious and fresh. The portion sizes were more than generous. Even though we didn't plan on having dessert, we decided to try the Dessert Special. The blueberry bread pudding was absolutely amazing. We highly recommend this place for its great food and hospitality."

This restaurant was great the first time I visited, with good service and food. However, during our most recent visit, the food was undercooked, the service was poor, and the food was cold. I will not be returning again.

Service was excellent! The two ladies present were friendly and the drinks were superb. I had the Birria dip and onion rings and it was so delicious! Since tahoe's food scene is lacking, this place is definitely worth the drive if you are staying further on the California side!

the experience of this escaping was exquisite. the service was fast, efficient and overall impeccable! the escapes that were delivered to us (in a contemporary way, spirited them) were unique, but not repugnant. for example, the gumbo fatty acid was full of herzhafter and lush meat, all wrapped in a rich and creamy sauce. We visited The Tahoe Tavern Grill for lunch. We were warmly greeted upon our arrival and promptly seated. Our server Lauren was pleasant, polite and well informed. She recommended the daily special and it was delicious. We had the Grilled Margherita sandwich also. It was served promptly and was flavorful. This is a wonderful spot for lunch.

Directly hidden behind the Chevron stationJake our bartender/waiter was extremely attentive and thoughtful and made a great Irish coffee ?. We got and sandwich both 10/10. Unique and delicious homemade blood orange vinaigrette on salad too. Definitely will be back!

Hidden gem minutes from the main strip. Service was outstanding. And the food was FIRE!!! My wife got a margherita pizza with chicken and I did a build your own with pepperoni sausage pancetta and pineapple. Both pizzas were stellar we finished it off with the churros and ice cream for dessert. If your in South Lake Tahoe definitely check out this place especially if you don’t want to deal with downtown but don’t want to go far.

I'm a Tahoe local living in Zephyr Cove. Most of the tavern like places around this area have pretty average, maybe below average food, so it is really great to have an option that serves really good food. The menu is mostly what you would expect in a tavern, and they do a really nice job! The owner is also local and is frequently in the shop. The guys and gals working there are super friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend Tahoe Tavern.
