They charge you for salsa. I ordered two burritos and requested two salsas, but I was told it would cost a dollar. Additionally, the food just doesn't taste very good. Food rating: 1.

This place serves the best menudo in the area. The bacon-wrapped jalapeños are fantastic as well. Their tacos are also quite good. It's my favorite spot in Shafter for Mexican cuisine.

I ordered breakfast burritos, and they were really flavorful. They were a bit on the expensive side, but since I'm not from Shafter, I would definitely come back if I ever pass through again. View menu

The food and service at this restaurant are exceptional! The prices are quite reasonable, and the menudo is especially remarkable. Overall, I would give the food a perfect score of 5 out of 5.

The service was good, and the gentleman cleaning the tables was very friendly. However, the cashier appeared quite serious. The cooks were also quite pleasant. Overall, the restaurant was clean, and I would rate the food an 8 out of 10. I might consider visiting them occasionally. Food: 3/5.

Horrible attitude!!!! Food is good but they guy at the counter ignores everyone that walks in. Kinda made me wanna leave without food but I had driven 45 min. ¡¡¡¡A actitud horrible!!!! I ordered lunch with two coworkers and we placed a total of 11 tacos. Unfortunately, we left before our tacos were even made. It took over 35 minutes just to start preparing our order, which seems excessive for something as simple as assembling tacos. To add to our frustration, other customers who ordered after us received their food before we did. I won't be coming back here again. Food rating: 2/5.

The food is excellent, but it's not inexpensive, and the staff could be friendlier. I received a drink from one of the employees, so I went to put it in my car before coming back for more food. When I returned, she informed me that she had given me the wrong drink, couldn't take it back, and that I owed $4 for it. That was quite strange—very strange, in fact. There are plenty of Mexican dining options in Shafter, so I'd suggest trying another place.

I have only eaten in the restaurant once, and my experience was excellent. I had carnitas tostadas. Delish! I have had Carnitas burritos ordered from here several times. Their burritos are not filled with rice and beans. They are FILLED with meat! A LITTLE bit of rice. I make two meals out of one burrito. And, what is most important to me, is the QUALITY of the meat. These folks pick their meat like I do fat, gristle, ect. belong in the garbage, not in my burrito! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!! Clean meat eaters rejoice!
