"I should have left as soon as I entered the restaurant. The atmosphere was unpleasant, the restaurant was empty, and it smelled like a fish tank. I decided to stay because the reviews were good, but that was a mistake. The chips were okay and the green sauce was pretty good, but that was the only good thing about the meal. My margarita had very little tequila in it, almost like water. For my lunch, I ordered the Flautas Suiza with a special house sauce, expecting a tomatillo sauce with white cheese. However, the flautas were covered in a strange, sweet, plastic-like cheese. The beans had no flavor, the rice was forgettable, and the guacamole had avocado skin in it. The only fresh part of the meal was the shredded lettuce. It was a waste of money and calories, and I am now feeling sick. Do not eat here, it is terrible."

Everything is amazing! From the Birria to the Menudo its all amazing, and to top it all, their hand-made tortillas are the best touch!Food: 5/5

Went here the other day. The food was decent. However, when I tipped them cash they wrote in a $22 tip on my card. Very disappointed in what used to be a local favorite from childhood.

This is our go to for authentic Mexican food. I often order the Chili Relleno and my husband orders Chicken Enchiladas. Delicious food, gracious service. We always have the Pork Tamales to go. We will always return.Food: 5/5 View menu

I was between 3-4 stars but I went for 4 because the people were really nice and there were a lot of family pictures around which I always appreciate. The food was all just ok, I probably won't be back. My Chile relleno was cooked well but the cheese wasn't melted. Thought everything could be overall more flavorful, but it was good nonetheless.

Keep forgetting to review this place. Every time I come here I always get the enchiladas which are always really good at a very fair and inexpensive price. Chips and salsa are included for free. Congenial people work here, though not going to lie this place is kind of boring to eat at haha so I don't come here too much, even with the TV going. Recommend if you're in the mood for that Mexican food itch.

Cute little place, that stands alone as the only Mexican restaurant in an otherwise all Asian retail/food plaza. I have eaten here a dozen times, usually at lunch/dinner time. It’s typically 50% filled or less. Most of the staff are bilingual and all are very kind. Karaoke is always a fun time and watching the Spanish soap operas on tv. They have the best mole I’ve ever had, and all the food I’ve tried is very filling and worth the price. View menu

The food at this restaurant was delicious, especially the rice and beans and enchiladas made with both chicken and beef. We had no complaints about the food quality. However, we almost left when we arrived because the place was extremely dirty. While I don't mind some wear and tear, every surface appeared to be covered in grime. This restaurant really needs a thorough cleaning. If I had ordered takeout, I would have given it 5 stars, but the uncleanliness of the interior was a bit unsettling.

I live north Austin and read reviews to try birria tacos so decided to make the trip.. no delivery available. Did the drive thru service which was ok. I spent $61 and tip 22% cash. The server said everything was in the 2 bags. I didn't think I would have to check since they had more the enough time to get order right. I even went inside to confirm items. Drive thru was about 15-20 mins. I get home to the smallest container of consume for my 2 orders of birria tacos and I guess it was too hot because the queso i ordered went thru the lid and spilled all over the bag. Also missing order of nachos I went into restaurant to confirm she had it in the order. I dont review often but this experience...

"I literally just made a review but I’m going to make another one because for whatever reason someone or somehow it got deleted. I used to be a regular at Bouldin and the service was always amazing but my last two visits have been by far horrible. The service has been so poor that I felt disgusted when leaving the restaurant. There are two girls that work there with light brown hair and blue eyes. Pretty sure one of their names is Rego. My boyfriend and I were served by her before and she seemed nothing but annoyed and couldn’t care less if we were in her section. Barley even interacted with us or asked how our meal was and just seemed disgusted by us, just being rude passive aggressive for no reason at all. I’m a server and I KNOW this isn’t how you treat your guests and the same thing happened tonight. She just seemed like she couldn’t care less if we were there and just seemed annoyed? I don’t mind paying the gratuity if I’m being treated decently but that wasn’t the case and I feel as though they feel like they think they can get away with behaving like mean girls just because there’s a gratuity. I have friends that dine here as well and they have had the same experience. I’m not one to write reviews but I feel this needs to come across a managers attention so they know who they are hiring and how they are treating customers. Really disgusted and disappointing and if this gets deleted again I’ll write another review or just call the store to speak to a manager. Disgusted by their behavior."
