"My favorite Chinese restaurant in Smithfield/Selma. The spring rolls are hot, fresh and crispy! Sesame chicken and white rice is my favorite here. I like that they never have any wilted or yellowed broccoli here compared to other places. Very nice workers and the donuts here are also delicious! They?re taking good precautions for Covid for anyone worried. No inside entrance right now, pickup at the Dropbox outside only."

The last few times I have gone there the quality of their food has gone down hill. The crab ragoons use to be really good! Chicken is tough and chewy!

I ordered the sesame chicken, and it didn't taste like any chicken I've ever had. It was really tough and chewy. They claim this is the best Chinese restaurant in Smithfield, N.C., but I found it quite disappointing. Yuck...

I like and enjoy everything I order from A Taste of China. The orange chicken is very good and of course Won Ton soup cant be beat. This restaurant is the only restaurant that gets my orders correctly every time. They actually read the notes section. A+A+A+A+

Y?all be capping on these reviews. Food was TRASH. Crab stick weren?t fried properly and falling all apart. The crab meat was mushy/maybe even old. Seafood fried rice was BASIC and they shouldn?t even be selling this entree. Buyer BEWARE. Don?t waste your try somewhere else. View menu

The food was excessively oily, far more than typical Chinese cuisine. Additionally, the vegetables had an unwashed taste; for instance, when I bit into a piece of broccoli, it felt like it hadn't been cleaned properly. The service was friendly, and my order arrived quickly, but overall, it wasn't worth it.

I ordered two General Tso Chicken meals with shrimp fried rice and crab rangoons, but instead, I received pork fried rice. I placed the order at 7:35 PM on Thursday, June 23, 2022. I paid an extra $5.90 for the shrimp fried rice through DoorDash, but I never got it. This was really inconvenient, and to make matters worse, I won't be getting a refund.

Worst $45 I have ever spent we will not be back! We ordered curry chicken and Hunan beef, pork fried rice and egg rolls. Egg rolls were old and dry looked it was filled with dog food. The curry chicken was tasteless hardly any flavor (nor true curry). Hunan beef not spicy no flavor (extremely bland). Pork fried rice was not too bad but not that great. View menu

Its best to get the lunch or dinner special you get more bang for your buck. I mostly order Lo Mein at most Chinese restaurants but this place uses a lighter color and less sauce which I dont mind because my taste for salt is more pronounced. I just dislike places that drown their dishes with soy. Its only take out only. Taste 6/10 Presentation 4/10 Restaurant Scenery 4/10

The lunch or dinner specials are definitely the best value for your money. I usually order Lo Mein at most Chinese restaurants, but this place has a brighter color and uses less sauce, which I find a bit lacking since I prefer a saltier taste. I enjoy restaurants that enhance their dishes with soy sauce. Overall, it's mainly for takeout. Taste: 6/10, Presentation: 4/10, Restaurant Ambiance: 4/10.

"We stayed at Home2 Suites in Smithfield and decided to stop by this restaurant for dinner. We weren't quite sure what to expect, but our first impression was positive—clean, comfortable, and a friendly staff. We started with the Ultimate Mai Tai Platter, and it was excellent, living up to all our expectations. We could have been satisfied with just that, but the appetizer was so delightful that we couldn’t resist ordering more. We tried the Twin Delight and Four Enemies, and wow! They were delicious, freshly prepared, and served with genuine smiles. Although it’s tucked away in a commercial plaza and not very easy to find, it’s definitely worth a visit. We might just make this a regular spot for us!"

"I had the pleasure of dining with a small group in a private room at this busy restaurant. The atmosphere was lively, and the service was excellent. The portion sizes were generous, but I was disappointed with the General Tso's Chicken. While there was plenty of it, the flavor was lacking; the sauce and chicken were bland. Instead of incorporating the hot peppers into the sauce as is customary, they were mixed into the rice and vegetables, which didn’t work for me. Despite this setback, I would definitely consider returning to give them another chance or to try a different dish, as the quality of service was enough to draw me back."

"Really great meal, calamari appetizer, chicken parm, veal parm, chicken cardinale with wagon wheels. A nice bottle of red wine! Dessert we took ny cheese cake and key lime pie to go those were good but not great; wishing we tried the tiramisu. Our waitress Ashley was very friendly she did have a lot of tables but still worked to make the meal a delight! We will be back!"

"I almost don't want to write this review and reveal the hidden gem that is this restaurant. I reserved Sonia's place for my sons' first birthday party a few months ago, and she not only accommodated us but also agreed to host our event on a day when the restaurant is typically closed. The venue is ideal for a small party of 40-50 guests and has been recently renovated with a contemporary aesthetic that served as a perfect backdrop for our party decorations. Sonia allowed us to decorate the space to our liking, which enhanced the overall theme of the party. We served chicken parmesan and a variety of pizzas, all of which were a hit with our guests. The food was hot, crispy, flavorful, and everyone couldn't stop talking about how delicious it was. Despite not having photos of all the pizzas, the true standout was Sonia herself. She was attentive, hospitable, and went above and beyond to cater to our quirky family. She efficiently handled the food service and made sure to interact with each guest, making everyone feel welcomed and appreciated. We are truly grateful for her outstanding service."

"Small and slightly strange location near or practically in a gas station, do not let his humble appearance deceive. These are the same big sandwiches you've been getting at J's for years. If you didn't get a sandwich from J's, you should really give them an attempt to simply be sure to bring your appetite because the sandwiches are HUGE and packed. If you go with someone, and are able to agree on one of the dozens of options they have available, you could probably share one to make 2 servings of meals. For me, I wasn't here for reason. I was here for a scam and all the calories. I have the ring of fire and the blondie to dessert. The fire ring was full of meat and dressed with buffalo sauce and ranch (if I remember correctly). It was tasty, but for a similar experience that a notch is thrown up, I would suggest going for the graduate. The blonde was lovely. Think about chocolate chip cookie with an oreo filling and you come close to the taste profile. The staff was friendly and polite, and the service was fast given a fairly large amount in a small room. I think the music was too loud. Otherwise? A great place for a casual lunch that is a step over fast food."
