"During my visit from out of state, I had no specific expectations and was simply on the lookout for a nice place to enjoy a meal. To my surprise, it turned out to be the best dining experience I had in South Lake Tahoe — comparable to Hell's Kitchen but at just a fraction of the price. We shared the pork shank for two, which was served with red cabbage, sauerkraut, and spätzle. I had never really tried German cuisine before, but I was thoroughly impressed. Our waiter had a dry sense of humor and a straightforward demeanor, both of which I appreciated. Since we were nearly the only customers right before closing, he let us take our time and didn’t rush us. He also recommended some fantastic beer pairings based on what we ordered. I would absolutely recommend this place — 11 out of 10!"

Very good Schnitzel, red cabbage, and Spätzle. THE beer went well with meal. The service was great. We would return if we ever are in the area.

Tasty European food with oversized portions. Comfortable outdoor setting. Service requires a little bit of patience, but is friendly and helpful.

The food here is incredibly delicious, and the restaurant is very clean, thanks to the attentive owners who serve you personally. If you're in South Lake Tahoe, this is a must-try spot! I highly recommend the Roasted Pork Shank!

The best food we have tried in a while. And that says a lot coming from a New Yorker. Chicken Schnitzel was so good, you didn’t need a knife to cut into it. Their soup was amazing as well. Planning to get a house nearby just so I can visit more often View menu

We came across this restaurant when we were walking down the street. We came during lunch time. The menu is straight forward. We had ordered 3 different items to try it out. All of it was delicious, the service was amazing. She was was on top of it, I would definitely come back again.

I dined here three weeks ago and enjoyed a wonderful meal. We both started with soup, followed by the Taste of Europe Schnitzel, and I couldn't find anything wrong with either dish. Our server, who was bald (I apologize for not catching his name), was friendly and very helpful. He offered great advice on how to explore the lake if you're not a fan of heights. We also tried the goulash, which was absolutely delicious. View menu

We had trouble finding anywhere to eat after the Caldor fire, lots of places were still closed. We found this gem on our second to last day there, so happy I was persistent calling them every day to see if they were back in business. They are at the top of my list when we get back in September, schnitzel/spaetzles/ red cabbage dinner was delicious! Owners talked Ohio State and Cleveland Browns with my husband and he was thrilled to be so far from home and find people that were fans!

Very excellent food but somewhat limited selection. Authentic draft Czech beer. The schnitzel was stuffed, hence nice and juicy. Spatzle particle size was smaller than expected, but still good. Spatzle seems more German than Czech- Czechs would have the slices of bread dumpling, or my mother would make potato dumplings. Anyway, the apple strudel was super good- please try with ice cream. One of our party lived in Prague for a while so we might be a bit picky. The parking lot exit ticket reader is faulty. It took about 5 minutes of inserting the bar code entrance ticket before it was FINALLY scanned.

"My fiance and I were vacationing in Tahoe with some friends and we decided to break away to have a date night here. When we made reservations we noted that it was for a date night and they sat us down at a table that was next to the window and what a view! It really set the tone for our night and made it so special. I wish I remembered our waiter's name because he was very attentive and made sure we were taken care of all night. The customer service was excellent! My fiance and I both started off with some martinis and we had a really nice time sipping on our drinks while watching the sunset. For starters we each ordered the lobster bisque. The creaminess and richness of the lobster pieces was really soothing on a cold night. I thought it would come out as a cup, but to my surprise it was a bowl of soup. We probably could've just ordered one and shared that bowl of soup between the two of us. For entree, my fiancé ordered from the prix fixe menu and for additional charge he got the cowboy steak, which was a really good deal. For a la carte the cowboy steak is $140, but the prix fixe menu is $100 and an additional $50 for the cowboy steak. So for $10 more you get an appetizer and dessert essentially. Now that's a steal! I got to try some of his steak and it was so delicious and prepared well. We went to Hell's Kitchen 2 days prior where he had ordered a steak and let me tell you...he preferred the cowboy steak. It was that good! I myself ended up ordering 2 appetizers as my entree tuna tartare and half a dozen of oysters. The tuna tartare sat in a bed of thick soy sauce and it was overpowering and I couldn't really enjoy it. I told my waiter this and he immediately took it back and took it off the bill. If it wasn't for the too much sauce it would've been a really good dish. But I still give this place a 4 star because of the excellent customer service. My waiter felt bad that he offered to bring me some shrimp and crab, but unfortunately I was already full and knew I couldn't eat anymore or else I would've taken up on his offer. To end the night my fiance had the chocolate cake from his prix fixe menu and it was a perfect and decadent sized cake to end the night. This was definitely an experience and hope to be back one day to try their other dishes."
