Tasty Island Jamaican

The food was great.Nice and spicy with lots of sauce.I got the jerk chicken combo.It’s a good amount of food and inexpensive.

If I could, I would give this restaurant 0 stars. I paid $17 for a disappointing meal consisting of three dry pieces of goat and dry rice. Save your time and try another place in Sawara that is much better. The new owner does not exceed the quality of the previous owners.

The dining experience at this restaurant was unpleasant and unappetizing. It was the worst Jamaican restaurant I have ever been to, with poor customer service. I do not recommend eating here. The food was well seasoned, but the staff didn't ask about our preferred level of seasoning. The restaurant is not very child-friendly and there is no option for dining in. The menu was easy to understand, but there were some mistakes in our orders. The plantains were not ripe enough and were likely to fall apart. It's important to pay attention to details when it comes to children's meals. Overall, the food was good.

First of all, the level of service of this restaurant degraded big time. Service sucks ! Second, I went to pickup my food and I saw the cook touching the cooked food from someone with her bare hands after handling the garbage. This is just not right, and the owners just sit there doing nothing while they have a line waiting for their orders. I will never go back and I would advise anyone buying from this place to stay away.

edit after reading other reviews i now see why our food was warm but all hard and dry... MICROWAVED!! wowfood was flavorful and warm, however, my chicken was dry and hard and chewy. seemed like 2nd or 3rd day meat. my bf's pork was 3 skimpy little dry pieces. for $18 each plate it didn't feel worth it. the cashier moved like a snail and was extremely soft spoken but couldn't hear a word we said we had to almost yell which was uncomfortable lol View menu

Bless up the chef! This is a small authentic Jamaicans mom pops shop. They give you that home cooked feeling. Made with love!I’ve tried most if not all of their menu.Best Curry chicken and Oxtails, both are delicious and not spicy. Jerk chicken is spicy kick! They’re A bit Pricey but well worth it being for filled with heavy food. Great portions , enough leftovers for a snack later. Try the lunch special if available. Call in your orders as to restrictions prevent dinning.Great Patties, my favorite is veggie patties.
