Tawas Axe N Lanes Rooftop

Chicken tenders were fire ?? mixed drinks were meh. Beer great. Service great. Worth it for a family friendly outing

We visited this restaurant for a date night with my wife, daughter, and son-in-law. We had a wonderful time, enjoyed some tasty drinks, and Sal was kind enough to let me win a game of pool!

Played pool here with my son for 3 hours today. The staff is super helpful and friendly. Food is many levels above what you would expect from a bowling alley bar. Great people, great food, fun place! View menu

We had a wonderful time at the rooftop bar, even though the weather was a bit cool. Our bartender and waitress, Kylee, was fantastic—she was efficient, funny, and really attentive to our needs! I can't wait to come back when the weather is warmer! LOL!

The service is absolutely terrible. The staff walks right past you without even saying hello, as you sit waiting for their attention for 15 minutes. Apparently their conversations are more important than tending to guests. Not to mention the roof is leaking and ceiling tiles are falling down all around you.

Big disappointment rainy/overcast day in Tawas. Take my wife, son and his two friends to have some indoor fun. Walk in over towards axe throwing and woman tells us our 13 year olds are too young and it’s state law they have to be 14 which is a lie. So much for “fun for all ages” as it claims on their website. I visited this bowling alley with my family, including three young children, and we all had a fantastic time. Becky and Missy were incredibly friendly and helpful, even working to resolve some mechanical issues with our lane. Despite being quite busy, they managed the bowling lanes, drinks, and our food orders with a cheerful, small-town warmth. We love this place and will definitely return!

For a bowling alley in 2023, it really needs a big overhaul on updates. Balls and pins kept getting stuck and the scoring system was prehistoric and only worked half the time. Had to switch lanes twice just to get one that only somewhat worked. The person at the bar was gracious about it, although we weren't offered a discount or anything for our inconvenience. Maybe the axe throwing is better, but we didn't do that. I can't see us ever coming back here again. So if you're in the Tawas area, you're better off going mini golfing instead.

The rooftop bar is well done (a couple of suggestions for improvement below , food was quite good (tacos wings , service was a bit inconsistent as they forgot our beer order (had to go remind them but hey they are new so they will improve . When sitting at a table your view is completely blocked by a banner sign covering the railing (defeats purpose of being up there! and when seated at the railing the ledge is not deep/wide enough to eat anything on it only drink, but a nice place and view if just drinking.
