"This was a first visit to the Irvine location. The location setting and interior ambiance, coupled with convenient and reasonable valet parking was a great start. The food at the old location was exceptional and we expected the same here. Unfortunately, it has changed for the worse. The hamachi appetizer was bland. We had one cut roll that was too saucy and lacked flavor. The basic uni sushi was good, however. I rarely post negative reviews but this experience warranted it I’m afraid. Please, Ten Sushi, get back to your old and excellent food preparation!"

The servers and hostesses were a bit rude. The server took a very long time to check on us after we finished our food even though it was no longer busy both in the outdoor and indoor seating. The food was great. Service before we finished our food was good.

I had a disappointing experience at the restaurant. I requested booth or high-top seating for a special occasion, but instead, I was seated at a table by the street, right next to the host station. It was the worst possible spot. This was not what I had reserved. As for the food, it was just average—nothing special.

The food was excellent, but despite our table being ready and several other empty tables available, we were still made to wait. They imposed a 90-minute limit on our dining time, so it's important to hope your server is attentive and that you're not looking for a relaxed dining experience. I had also mentioned when I made the reservation that we were celebrating a birthday, but it seems that information didn’t make it to the staff.
