"Next, I decided to try a papaya salad to-go, but the papaya was wilted, and the fish sauce was poorly prepared—too salty and unappetizing! I called the restaurant about 8 minutes after tasting it at my hotel, only to be told they were closed. They refused to accept a return because I was supposed to taste the dish at the restaurant before leaving! I've never encountered such a ridiculous policy with any of my takeout orders, and my friends and colleagues agree. I mentioned I could return it not the next day, but the day after. The server agreed to this. However, the next day I was working from 9 to 9, and they were closed. When I finally brought the salad back, the manager insisted she had served me, but I had never seen her before. Plus, she was short, heavily made-up, and on the chubby side, while my actual server was tall, skinny, and without makeup. The manager consulted the owner—an elderly lady—who claimed I had the salad for two days. They KNOW I couldn't return it when I called because they were closed and I had explained my work schedule! The dish came with rice, which I didn't even touch, stating it was too salty, as if they had just poured fish sauce all over it. They told me, "This is our recipe." I have Thai friends and have dined at multiple Thai restaurants worldwide, so I know what an authentic papaya salad should taste like. A skilled chef knows how to prepare it properly. They insisted this was their recipe and that if I didn't like it, too bad. Well, it's a terrible recipe, and good chefs have good recipes. Where is their customer service? Do they even understand what that means? They offered nothing but ridiculous excuses to avoid making things right. I have dined at numerous restaurants globally and throughout the U.S., and this was the worst papaya salad I've ever had, along with the worst customer service. Not only is the restaurant located in a sketchy area and poorly furnished, but the customer service matches its ambiance. If you're looking for good Thai food, DO NOT come here. I won't be returning—this was my first and last visit!"

I've tried others, and they can't nail it like Thai Papaya. The staff are very friendly too. Overall, food is fresh, beautiful, and delicious!
