"I haven't left a review on Yelp for years but after today I felt it necessary. This place has a very good beer selection and below-average food. The reason I am leaving this review: the service. Twice in the last couple months I have been treated like absolute (you know what). The first time, I let it go. But after being completely ignored at the bar for nearly 10 minutes, today, I decided to leave a review. The bartenders, here, are RUDE/DISRESPECTFUL beyond any other bar I have taken to in this city: and I have lived here for over ten years. On a Saturday afternoon, the Bulldog was FAR from busy. I sat at the bar for 10 minutes, as stated, and watched as the bartender serve a couple regulars to my left, then walk past me to gather glasses from the surrounding tables and load them into the dishwasher, which was directly in front of me. He finished, then served the people to my right, gathered more glasses and loaded, then walked away. 5 minutes pass and he walks by again and again. Finally I say something to him with a very cursory response suggesting he didn't notice me. That's absolute bull. There are plenty of other reviews here that indicate the same level of service/treatment.I'm not sure why the bartenders in this place feel such an undeserved sense of self-worth but it's pretty obvious that management doesn't care and it will continue. Sick of walking into this place as if I owe it to the Bulldog to be a customer. There are all kinds of fantastic bars within walking or streetcar distance, where the service staff genuinely appreciate and take an interest in you as a customer, and person. Please think twice about giving this establishment money for overpriced drinks and food."

Big variety of draft beer, you can try a small portion to know if you like or not. Super friendly staff.

The young female staff did not appear to be very attentive, and there was a lack of good atmosphere. I would not return.

Fantastic place. Good beer selection, with a nice outdoor hangout for you and your dog. Wednesdays you can purchase a pint and take the glass home. Highly enjoyed this place.

The restaurant offers an excellent variety of beers and features a lovely outdoor space that's perfect for warm days. They also provide outdoor heating on the terrace for those cooler evenings. View menu

Enjoyed their patio and drink specials. I got vodka water several times with lemon. I squeezed my lemon into my second drink and started smelling dirty socks. It was the lemon. I brought the drink back into the bartender, she smelled it. Poured it out. And offered to remake it with the lemon juice instead. I was happy.

I would have given this place 5 stars if not working for the miserable bartender yesterday afternoon. He was the most rude person I ever met in NOLA. I ignored myself in the bar for a good 5 minutes, then just left after I asked him a question. Poor female bartender tried to compensate for his hostility. Bless her! Apart from that, this place was funny and I would definitely go back! Good happy hour, too.

Served a flat Peroni. Politely asked for a fresh one and told ‘well it would be flat you have had it for some time’. My daughter had bought it one minute prior and I had taken one sip. Peroni is never a flat lager. When I asked why make it sound like I’m lying, was told it’s not a big deal don’t talk back to me. Honestly the worst attitude here anywhere. They bring shame on this wonderful city. I’d definitely avoid. View menu

This is the first bar in New Orleans, and we were able to walk right in and find a table. The bartender even turned on the Bucks game for us, which was fantastic. The drinks were delicious, and they had a great selection of beers on tap. While they do offer food, we mainly focused on enjoying our drinks and watching the game. It has a classic bar atmosphere with dim lighting and several TVs for entertainment. The outdoor terrace is well-lit and provides a nice spot to people-watch.

By the time my friends and I arrived here, we were all already three sheets to the wind. What exactly does that mean, three sheets to the wind ? I know it means to be drunk , but where, exactly, does that phrase come from? Well, I 'll tell you, because I looked it up. The sheet is the line that controls the sails on a ship. If the line is not secured, the sail flops in the wind, and the ship loses headway and control. If all three sails are loose, the ship is out of control. That 's what we were out of control especially my wife, who thought it would be a hoot to pick up glasses and start hurling them against the wall at The Bulldog. After the third or fourth glass shattered, we were told to...
