"We hadn't been here in a long while at least 5 years) as we live an hour away....but we were in the area and decided to stop in. And I can definitely say I'm glad we did. The atmosphere is great. Wasn't super crowded. Football and baseball were on the TV's. Nice little bar area... And I saw they had some pretty good happy hour specials as well. We were say immediate and had it drinks within a couple of minutes. Our server was very attentive. The bread they brought it was fantastic... Warm and tasty. And the Apple cinnamon butter.... Sooooooo good! Much better than Texas Roadhouse. Really well thought of and made. Each of us decided on the rotisserie chicken. I had half a chicken and my wife has a quarter. You got a soup or salad, choice of potato and choice of veggies, beans or coleslaw. The salad was great. Good size for a dinner salad and the ranch dressing was incredible! Really probably one of, if not the best, ranch we've ever had. Really tasty! The chicken was really good for both of ua. Juicy. Warm. Super tender. The garlic mashed potatoes I had were quite good. My wife had the waffle fries, which she enjoyed. I had the roasted veggies which were great. I wish I could make carrots like that! My wife also had the baked beans which she said we're really good. Overall a great experience and we'll certainly be back when we are in the area. Nice little place with some great food. Certainly worth giving a try!!"

We had lunch at this restaurant and found the food and service to be excellent. The layout and atmosphere inside were both pleasing. The food was cooked perfectly...

It had been a while (at least 5 years) since we had last visited this restaurant, as we live an hour away. But as we were in the area, we decided to stop by. And I must say... View menu

Friendly, relaxing atmosphere here. Fast service with attentive wait staff. French dip sandwich was loaded with tender beef. Generous onions and mushrooms and lots of cheese on a wonderful bun just right for dipping. Waffle fries were piping hot and flavorful.

I would not recommend dining at this restaurant. I suggest reading the reviews before making a decision. I am unsure how this establishment has a higher rating here. I recommend trying the Burlington location instead. It is possible that they have different owners.

First time trying. Food was great. We all got different burgers and everyone was very pleased. The place smells amazing inside. They have a lot of different options on the menu and it all looked really good. Plenty of seating. Atmosphere is a little bit boring but the food makes up for it. Only complaint is it was freezing cold in there but we lived. I would recommend giving them a try! View menu

We went to dinner on 11/22/19. I got the beer battered fish and my wife got the coconut shrimp. Both meals were great you cannot go wrong with fish on Friday in Wisconsin. My fish was cooked perfectly. The fish was flakey and not oily. Great flavor. My wife and I have been going there for 18 years. They are celebrating 25 years in business. The food is very good. The wood fire pizza is my favorite. My wife got the Cowboy Chicken Wrap. The service was fast and friendly.

My girlfriend and I had eaten lunch here before and the food was decent. I was trying to find someplace different to eat for dinner and found they had good steak, chicken, and fish options. We started with the pretzel bite and beer cheese appetizer. The cheese was light on the beer and the pretzels lacked salt, but they were otherwise delicious. For the entree we chose the ribeye steak with baked potato, chicken and dumpling soup, and roasted vegetables. The soup and potatoes were good, and the vegetables tasted amazing. The steak was juicy and tender but underseasoned. The restaurant is a sports bar grill, so it's more suited for lunch fare than a romantic dinner, but we had a nice time and...

"House of Gerhard, a staple in Kenosha since 1964. A literal mixing of supper club and old world German style food, housed inside a rustic building featuring lots of dark wood, cool, kitschy bar related items and lots of twinkle lights. You definitely get the feeling of Old World cool walking into this place. I personally loved the bar area as it really hit the nostalgia days of yore sitting in the low bar, swivel seats and watching tons of Grasshoppers and Pink Cadillacs being handmade by the bartenders. We thoroughly enjoyed the servers and hostess, they were very nice, but a bit of advice... the bar is small and the patrons can hear you when you complain about being swamped or how backed up you are... we get it too and sympathize, but we are here for your best, as well... enough about that... on to the food!We stuck with the German side of things tonight and didn't order the prime rib or fish which, on another visit I would certainly try! We loved the pate served with crusted, seasoned French baguette slices. The kidney bean salad was good, but I wanted a bit more seasoning, however not atypical of a German-style restaurant! We also liked the homemade apple spice muffin and the rolls, but one of our rolls look like it had a bite taken out it, which made me wonder if they were reserving unused rolls and didn't check this one? The clam chowder was decent but felt the chicken broth base was overpowering and really made me question if it wasn't cream of chicken soup. I absolutely loved the spaetzel and the slight pan fry that gave it a good crisp. The schnitzel was good as well and the gravy it came with was on par, flavor-wise! I enjoyed the stroganoff as the beef was tender and easy to shred apart. I wish I had gotten more mushrooms in the sauce, though but it was so good, I wanted to lick the pan! Drinks were decent as well and they make a good Brandy Old Fashioned. The dessert drinks are worth it! I would share one with two people however as they are quite large!"
