"My family decided to try this restaurant for a Sunday brunch. Upon arrival there was a bit of a line, possible sign that the food was good, and there were waiting customers outdoors waiting as well. It took about 10 minutes to get our names on the waiting list, it was a full house and the staff was busy waiting on seated customers. The wait was about 25 minutes, which was a bit of a bummer especially with three hungry kiddos (ages 12, 5, 15 mos). When we finally were seated the waiter was very kind, helpful, and fun spirited. My husband and daughter ordered the chicken fried steak, my 5 yo ordered pancakes, I order oatmeal with toast for my 15-month-old (he ate from my plate as well), and for myself I decided to order French toast. Pros: The food is really tasty and has a traditional Sunday home cooked brunch feel. There is plenty of food to share a plate with a younger child. My family enjoyed the homemade cinnamon and also the pecan rolls. They are big in size and can be shared with at least 2-3 people. The staff was friendly. The location isn’t bad and on the main road not far from I-90 freeway. Also the prices are reasonable for the vast amount of food served. Cons: The wait time was a little longer than expected. I believe Sunday’s are their busiest days for brunch, so be prepared for a wait unless you’re willing to get there when they open. There are chairs outdoors, however at that time the chairs were linked and locked together. So for customers that waited outdoors until a seating area was available found it a bit difficult to sit (at the time of our visit, it was a few older individuals that wanted/needed to sit). My husband and I were not too thrilled about the homemade fries/hash which were cut up round potatoes. It is great for the kiddos, but I would order traditional hash browns the next time we visit for brunch. Overall Experience: It is a quaint little restaurant that does what they do well. Other than the wait time, I know what to expect and plan to arrive a bit earlier with my kiddos in tow. We were pleasantly happy with our meals and took the rest home for a later snack."

This is one of my favorite places to eat delicious cafe food. The service is consistently quick, even when the restaurant is busy. Every visit here is enjoyable. The price was reasonable considering the quality of the food.

This restaurant is the ultimate spot for tea lovers. I adore everything about this place. The ambiance is just right, the food and tea are outstanding, and the service is top notch. I would definitely recommend this place, 10 out of 10.

Fantastic food! Great waffle...not the doughy junk you usually get. Poached eggs were perfection, cottage potatoes were a little salty for me, but good. All served fast, even though it was packed. This is the unicorn breakfast place you were looking for. View menu

Honestly they have great food, and really good strawberry jam(homemade). But with COVID-19 they are CLOSED. No signs or anything. Kinda disappointing to not even let customers know. They have been closed since the beginning of pandemic. So no clue when they are due to be back up and running.

My family and friends have been coming to this place for about 6 or 7 years and , I recommend it every time anyone asks me about a great breakfast and/or lunch place. They have the very best food around, great customer service and the pancakes are to die for! Thank you! #cottagecafe #bestpancakesintheworld

My favorite breakfast place in Spokane. The portions are massive and for a great price. It is always super busy, so get there early. For the food, besides of portions, always gave me a traditional feeling to the flavor of the food. The picture I have posted is the Hearty Breakfast Combo (which is the big platter plate and included Belgium waffle, and which is great for 2 people to share, or one very hungry human), French Toast Combo, and one Cinnamon Roll. Lots of food. View menu

I visited this restaurant the day after Mother's Day, and despite the bustling crowd, the staff was impressively efficient at turning over tables. We were seated within 15 minutes and enjoyed a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice while trying to decide on our breakfast. Everything on the menu looked delicious, but we eventually settled on potatoes, an omelet, and a waffle. The omelet was generously filled with toppings, and the homemade whipped cream for the waffle was outstanding. This could very well become my new favorite breakfast spot. The staff was friendly and truly knows how to provide excellent service.

Cottage Cafe is a delightful little eatery! Despite passing by it countless times over the past year, I regret not stopping in sooner. The restaurant is immaculate and inviting, with cheerful and helpful staff. The bathrooms are also impeccably clean and beautifully decorated. Despite the high quality service, the prices are surprisingly affordable and the food is delicious. Most dishes range from $8-$11 and come in satisfying portions. The coffee was surprisingly good and not the typical diner-style brew. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and I highly recommend arriving early on weekends due to limited parking. Thank you Cottage Cafe for a wonderful first visit!
