"Located on Spencer Iowa's South Grand Avenue is the gem of a restaurant known as Sammy's Italian Pasta Pizza. This eatery serves up some of the most delicious Italian cuisine around. Their menu includes; Salads, Spaghetti, Home Baked Pastas, Homemade Specialties, Chicken dishes, Veal dishes, Seafood dishes, Sandwiches, Side orders and a locals favorite, their Pizza! Plus, twice daily they make and serve, with each table, their (should be patented) dinner rolls.Our group had their:• Chicken Florentine Mushroom, onions, spinach, garlic cream sauce over spaghetti. My wife absolutely loved this large and tasty meal.• Chicken Marsala Sauteed chicken with fresh mushroom, marsala wine sauce over spaghetti. I absolutely loved this (best ever) large and tasty meal.• Spaghetti Meatballs Meatballs over a portion of spaghetti and smothered with their homemade marinara sauce. Our young diner loved this dish even though it required a face washing afterward.Their quality of superior service is slightly overshadowed by the quality of their superb dishes!Service options: Dine in · Drive through · Delivery"

"We found this nice little diner on Google maps, and it is very nice. There was a Sunday morning breakfast buffet that had a large selection of good old fashioned breakfast offerings. The best part was I left the restaurant without my debit card, only to realize it far away when I was getting gas. I called, and they had my card and mailed it to my address! Nice, honest people, and we would definitely stop there again!"

"This was one of the most bizarre and surreal culinary experiences I had. It's been a few months since I was here last, just forget to write this review, so maybe something has changed since. I ordered three articles, burned ends, a Caesar salad and Cajun Pasta. None of them were good. The salad was a strange deconstruction that came as a bunch of whole romaine leaves instead of a real salad and was more like a starter you were expected to dive. The burned ends did not deserve the name, because they did not embody what someone thinks when they imagined the court. Instead of a grill dish with a beautiful caramelized barbeque sauce they had a strange honey sauce and the fat was not completely made so there were large pieces of it. It was also served with Naan bread for some reason, why not Texas Toast? Finally, the Cajun Pasta had a Bland sauce and the only Cajun flavor came from these bacon bits instead of being part of the sauce. I didn't finish it. None of them was worth what I paid for. Maybe. I am partly responsible for not getting the best rib in a restaurant named for it, but the prices on it were somewhat exaggerated compared to even chain places like Texas Roadhouse. The service was also bad with waiters to chat with each other or their friends. My advice? Do not try to reinvent the wheel, there is nothing wrong with a typical dish, as long as it is done well, especially if you alternative was a strange version made very bad."

"Sportspage has been a favorite of ours for a long time. Food is top shelf, beers are ice cold the servers are above board. Yesterday we visited back forth with a gal named Margarita. She wasn’t even our server, but overheard our conversations wanted to know more about us, our livelihoods, and the different sayings we had. She’s a Mexican lady who just wants to learn more about our society how to adapt accordingly. She is truly a gem. And BTW … we’ll be back! Tom"
