"The servers were good and very nice, but our experience dining at the Double J Cafe was disappointing and unfortunately, it will be our last visit. We will be opting for #amusiccafe from now on. I was disappointed when my burger turned out to be raw after only three bites, so I had to send it back. Unfortunately, when it came back, it was only a portion of the sandwich I had originally ordered. They had taken the bitten into part, put it back on the grill, and served it to me again. This is something I have never seen before, and I have years of experience working in restaurants. Despite only taking three bites, I was not looking for a free meal, but it would have been nice to receive what I had paid for. The cook came out to check on us, but I was on a call and he left before I could speak with him. I was also taken aback to see him wearing plaid pajama pants. Ronnie, who is 76 years old and forgot his glasses, realized his food was undercooked only after a few bites and couldn't finish it. The server deducted $4 from my bill, which I appreciated, although I had told her it wasn't necessary. Overall, I was very disappointed with the experience."

First time eating breakfast here. It won't be our last! The potatoes were super tasty, the pecan pie was solidly good, and the biscuits and gravy were yummy and home cooked. Very clean and cute diner atmosphere. Good selections on the menu. Can't wait to eat breakfast here again!

I hate when I forget to take photos of our food. Nevertheless, this is a very nice family run business. This place is close to Stonelick State Park; which is where we camped this weekend. Very nice atmosphere, the lady that took our order invited us back for breakfast and gave us menus so we could decide. They were very quick with preparing the orders, the food was freshly prepared, and the portions were plentiful. We love supporting small and local businesses, and this is one that we will continue to support when we are in this area. View menu

Ate here today for the first time. Tucked away on Rt 28 east of Milford. You order at the counter and food is delivered to your table. Beverages are self-serve except for coffee. I had breakfast which consisted of 2 eggs, a piece of goetta and an order of biscuits and gravy. Note that breakfast is served only on Saturday. The biscuits and gravy were a generous serving covering an entire plate. And they were terrific. Everything tasted great and I was very full afterward. Service was very friendly and efficient. The personnel act like they are really glad to see you. Good small town ambiance and lots of bang for your buck.

We absolutely adore this place! Miss Jackie is incredibly kind and truly cares about her customers' satisfaction. Her husband, the chef, prepares one of my all-time favorite salmon dishes. I also love the cod, green beans, salads, tilapia, tarter sauce, cherry pie, and apple caramel pie. The pies and salmon here are truly something to dream about. We recently stumbled upon this hidden gem and now get takeout from here almost every week. The attention to detail and care in preparing even the takeout is commendable. This restaurant is truly special, thanks to the wonderful and caring people who run it. I wish more restaurants followed their example. Thank you, J J, for keeping us well-fed!
