This place is great. Nostalgic bar. Bartender was nice and knowledgeable, prices are great.

Best Bar in New Albany with the best staff and customers, great drink prices and decor. A must for any one in the area looking for a great cocktail or cold brew.

Cozy place with a nice atmosphere to grab a drink. I'd bet it gets pretty cramped during busy evenings. Drink prices and variety were average. The draft list board was outdated so we had to regularly consult with our bartender to determine what was actually available. View menu

This place is a fantastic spot for drinks! Every bartender I've encountered has been incredible—super friendly and always ready to whip up any creation. As someone who has bartended myself, I appreciate how challenging the job can be, so hats off to these talented bartenders! Also, make sure to check out the Bill Murray shrine while you're there.

As someone who has worked as a bartender myself, I truly appreciate how challenging the job can be, and I have to commend these bartenders for their excellent service! Be sure to check out the Bill Murray shrine while you’re there as well.

This place was filthy. The lights were turned down low to the point we could barely see each other across the table. Then after going into the bathroom we realized they were turned down to hide whatever filth was there in the dining area/bar. It smelled like a moldy dish rag our waitress was less than friendly when we didn't want to start a tab. The only good thing I can say is that the beer was cold but we left after our one drink. I attended the Old Forester Legendary Bourbon Series event last week at The Root of The Earl, and I must say, the Earl Team did an outstanding job organizing this tasting! Jackie Zykan guided us through an incredible selection of bourbons, making the experience truly special. Mara was fantastic, and Scott Dickinson, the chef at 1816 in Corydon, created delightful dishes that perfectly complemented the bourbons. This was one of the best bourbon tastings I've ever experienced!

I attended the Old Forester Legendary Bourbon Series event last week at The Root, hosted by The Earl. The Earl team did an incredible job organizing this tasting! Having Jackie Zykan guide us through the experience of sampling these fantastic bourbons was a highlight. Mara truly shines in her role. Chef Scott Dickinson from 1816 in Corydon crafted delightful dishes that paired perfectly with the bourbon. This was one of the best bourbon tastings I’ve ever experienced. Highly recommend!

I couldn't find this coffee shop online, but I learned they operate out of The Earl. Just to clarify, this review is specifically for Cultivator Coffee, not The Earl. That said, we absolutely loved Cultivator Coffee! The atmosphere was lively and inviting—unlike some establishments that feel exclusive, CC struck a balance that made it comfortable to either linger or just grab a quick drink. Their menu was impressively diverse for a place of this size. We ordered the Miel Especiada and The Comfortor, and they were delightfully sweet without being overly sugary, like you might find at Starbucks. They had a great balance!
