The Gunsmoke Grill - Menu

The restaurant was closed for food and beverage service, and I wasn't notified about this prior to my arrival.

This place is amazing! I took my kids here for the Haunted House, and we all had a blast. They served delicious food and drinks, making it an ideal spot for a family outing.

We had an incredible experience! I would give it 10 out of 5 stars! Haha! We recently celebrated our wedding here, and I can't recommend this place enough. The food was delicious, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Everything was just beautiful. View menu

This is my third visit here, the first two were approximately two years ago, we my wife and I found this place by accident. We recommend this place to all our friends. If I may , If your staying at Starved Rock go off the beaten path try something different at gunsmoke grill they've got everything you want good food, cold drinks, horseback riding, and a tipping petting zoo. This place is a total must.

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! Great friendly service, beautiful wooded country atmosphere, oh and the food is awesome!! Great handmade burgers. Loved the fried green beans. My friend had the 38 special burger and it was delicious!! Will definitely be coming back!! They have fun outdoor activities- horseback riding, bags, and outdoor seating. The leaves are changing and there are streams flowing through the back of the restaurant.

26 of us walked in together for lunch. Fairly evenly split between kids and adults. Waitress didn't skip a beat. Drink orders taken and served quickly. A few appetizers ordered and delivered. Waitress was courteous and extremely helpful. I ordered the jalapeño burger. It was excellent. The jalapeño mayo or sauce was very good. Burger was juicy and had great taste! And the french fries were excellent. Not like McDonald's or fast food, but a thicker, more flavorful French fry. Very good! Also note that all 26 meals were delivered very close together. Thank you yelp! We were in the general area doing some rafting on the vermillion river (check out Vermillion River Rafting in the Oglesby area! and used trusty yelp to find us somewhere good for lunch. Found this great place, which has a perfect mix of Chicago bar and small town Texas saloon. Rock music playing, a huge list of burgers on the menu and a full bar. You can also do horseback riding and the owner was telling us they're hoping to set up a zip line and cabins in the future so you can make a trip of it! On a trip from VA to WI, I see a review on Yelp that compares Gunsmoke Grill to a small Wisconsin bar, I have to stop! This place is very comfortable and the staff is very friendly. We loved the wood paneled interior and the custom copper topped bar. Though there were only two beers on draft, they were cold and refreshing. Since we were not really hungry, we only tried the fried pickles which were battered in house and served with a side of ranch dressing. The burgers served to other tables looked and smelled great too! Upon arrival, we discovered Wednesday is indeed chicken night. Thursdays are taco nights, and Friday through Sunday they serve a full menu including sandwiches. Since it was Wednesday, we couldn’t try the sandwiches, but the delicious pictures on Facebook are enough to vouch for them. Our server was fantastic, the owner was a cool Cubs fan, and while the kitchen was a bit slow (perhaps everything is cooked to order?), the chicken, waffles, and spaghetti were all very tasty. The cinnamon butter really took it to another level. The hand-cut fries, however, were a little soggy; the server suggested ordering them extra crispy next time.
