Omggg amazing just what I was looking for this is some seriously good gumbo here. Wish I got extra buns tho…next time

Came in at 7:07 and was told they were closed even though online they are open until 8 and the open sign was on and the door was open.

I when in this location. I was planning a large event needed food for over 200 people. I walked in and watched what was taking place. The manager (who i am only assuming that she is the manager by her repeating it several times) was behind the counter was cussing out a delivery drive. I walked out and will never return. Horrible Experience. Will not be back to this location until an employee change. Ordered my food and played Pokémon go while waiting. Employee decided I was recording her and started talking about me and throwing a temper tantrum. I explained I wasn’t recording, just playing on my phone and she told me to get out. My feelings are hurt and I’m still hungry. All for just passing the time with Pokémon Go. Beware of this place, you’ll get accosted for being on your phone while you wait.

I’d go 10/5 stars to prove a point if I could. I met the owner Kathy (Cathy? at a Mardi Gras parade and she was beyond AH-MAY-ZUH-HING! I love it when business go above and beyond to show their love for the communities they serve. The food is authentic and phenomenal as she is. I’d recommend the sausage and chicken jambalaya with a side of boudin balls. I tad on the spicy side but perfect for me. My wife and I may have to make the trip back just for the parade and this shoppe next Mardi Gras.

The manager at this location is so rude. She is rude to employees and customers. This location is very convenient for me to use, but I avoid it at all cost so I don't have to deal with her. There needs to be higher standards when picking a person to represent the company. It is sad, really. She was mad because it was 10:40 and she felt no one should be there since they just opened at 10:30. My wife and I were playing pokemon go on our phones while waiting for our food, which took forever just for the employee in the back to lose her temper under the impression that we were recording her. I made a comment about how that wasn't cool for her to treat my wife that way, and when we agreed on a refund she tried to ask for the food back. She also threatened to call the cops on us when she was the one out of line in the first place. Never going back. Hope this business gets its staffing in … – show

I placed a large order on Waitr and later realized my order was not processing. I called to place the order and spoke with Scott. It is important to kniw this is in the midst of chaos in the city as more than half the city is out of power due to Hurricane Ida aftermath, so many places aren’t even open. I’ve always thought this places name is funny. Their jambalaya is horrible. Their pastalaya is mediocre on the other hand. I ordered the dinner plate and it said it came with a side of corn and a side of green beans PLUS two additional sides. Well I never got my corn or green beans. The banana pudding serving was the size of a golf ball. Honestly the salad, which was the blandest part was the most appetizing.
