"WORST FOOD EVER. I?ve been craving jambalaya shoppe for the past couple of weeks and haven?t had the time to get any, well today I stop by and order 2 meals and it took forever which I didn?t have a problem because I assumed it would be fresh. But it tookso long because they were reheating all the food!!! NASTY! I?m not a complainer but the food literally taste like it was daysold and the meat looked awful. The chicken had a old stale taste to it. It was seriously a waste of my $30 bucks and to say howbadly I?ve been craving it. I usually go to O?Neal location and there usually good but Perkins and Essen location suck I waswondering why no one was in line ordering. I wish I would have taken a picture because it literally looked like prison food, completely garbage BEWARE."

All of the ordered items were missing, and instead, we received pastalaya. Additionally, we only got one crawfish pie. View menu

I stopped by today to grab Sunday dinner for my family, and the food exceeded our expectations. The jambalaya was mouthwatering, and the chicken and sausage gumbo was equally excellent. We also enjoyed the crawfish pie and boudin. The portions were generous and completely satisfied our hunger. The customer service truly reflected authentic Southern hospitality. We will definitely be back next time we're in Baton Rouge.

I went on my lunch break. I waited a few minutes for someone to take my order. She walked up to the register and said she will be right back, she needed to clean tables. I wanted to leave, if I did i wouldn't have lunch that day. The rice taste like plainrice with a lot of the rice browning sauce called Kitchen Bouquet and very cheap sausage. I had terrible heartburn from eatingit. Its definitely not worth it. I shared my experience with the people I work with they said that place has awful food aswell. View menu

This restaurant is amazing! The service is quick, and the staff are truly kind and hardworking—some of the nicest people I've met in a long time. Mrs. Mary even helped me carry my food to my car since I recently had stitches removed from my hand and couldn’t manage the box myself. The food is always delicious and served hot. The chicken and sausage gumbo is rich and meaty, the potato salad is perfectly creamy, and the white beans have just the right touch of salt and pepper. The place is clean, and everyone was thoughtful enough to wear masks around me. I’m very happy with this restaurant and can’t wait to come back many more times.

Ive gone here on several occasions for lunch *the food is good; it satisfies the stomach, is decent tasting, and is usually freshly served I usually get the gumbo and i haven't really tried anything other than that , so keep that in mind. *Thegentleman who is usually manning the front, Andrew has always been very courteous on all of my encounters with him at thestore As of recently i was in a huge rush to get some other activities done during my break and left without my debt card. As iwas driving through a neighboring parking lot -clueless to my mistake, i just happened to look in my side mirror to see a manrunning full speed with a receipt and debt card in his hand. Man is an absolute sain...
