"The food was fantastic. We were so eager to try it that we drove all the way from Kentucky! Cagney, our waitress, was lovely and efficient. My son had the mushroom burger with fries, my husband had the green tomato BLT with sweet potato fries, and I had "The Goat" burger with fries. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. My husband and I even shared our sandwiches so we could taste each other's, and they were all delicious. For dessert, we tried the goat cheese cake with berries, which was also amazing. The berries really added a nice touch. It was definitely worth the drive. We regretted not being able to stay for the live music performance."

Service was very good, large wedge salad for me, burger for the big guy both hit the spot. Atmosphere is relaxed, decor a little chaotic. If we are back in the area we would go back View menu

This restaurant offers a fantastic variety of burgers, salads, sandwiches, and more. They have plenty of options for vegetarians, and their burgers are huge. The service is excellent, and everything is made from scratch to order.

We waited over an hour for our food the place wasn't full either! My daughter noticed another table was served before us and we were there before them. The owner was walking around speaking to guests but never came by our table and just when I decided to leave the food came. I also had to ask for the check didn't leave a tip and will never go back!

After visiting the Andy Griffith Museum, we were feeling hungry and eager to try some local cuisine. The woman working in the gift shop suggested we try the Loaded Goat, and we decided to give it a shot. The staff was friendly, the menu had a good variety of options, and the food was incredibly delicious. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others. View menu

This was one of the better places I've been to eat in Mount Airy. The burgers were cooked correctly as we ordered(med). The portions were quite large, so you are definitely getting your money's worth. The staff was friendly, but it took a while to get our food. They did tell us up front, and had signs, that they were understaffed and it would take longer than usual. I'll go here again.

I'm giving two stars (instead of one) because my prior experience has been excellent....but not this most recent visit attempt. I've gone in with friends before and had no issue, but walking in as a solitary diner was ridiculous. The restaurant was not even half full, but they wanted to seat me at the bar, then a high top. I understand that during rush times this might be necessary, but the entire experience was unwelcoming and awkward. I left and found a place that appreciates solitary diners. Hopefully this was just an inexperienced hostess, and will not be repeated.

"A friend brought cookies to work one day and I was so happy with them and had to ask where they came from. I visited Ms. Angels about a week ago and was very pleased with my experience. The facility outside and inside is VERY welcoming and attracts you. I enjoyed the brightness of the decorations. Very striking for me and pleasant. Fresh muffins were brought out when I was there and when I asked what kind they were the woman who worked very politely, they answered me. There were numerous cakes, cakes and cookies to choose from. I got some Macaroons and a cookie decoration set for my children. The cookie kit was a hit with my children last weekend. We were very satisfied that the cookies, where also really good. I have some bad ingwerbread cookies before and was very happy that these were absolutely delicious! I will definitely go back to my next trip. I enjoyed my trip here to Mrs. Angel's heavenly Pies. I came back to my childhood bakery where I grew up in Marion, NC. It's always nice when I come across a business that has that real old fashion feels it too, and reminds me of home. The owner definitely has a good thing to go here and I hope that she and her family will see in business for many years. I often visit Mt. Airy when I have family in town and will come through any chance I can. Thank you. Mrs Angel is a wonderful experience and keep it as you are!!"
