"Our waitress was wonderful, she went beyond the call of duty trying to make our visit pleasant because the bbq sauce tastes like vinegar, the beans had way to much pepper and taste like they had been warmed up in the pot all week, the bun for my brisket was hard on the edges as though it had been left out of the bag, my brisket was satisfactory but not enough to ask for 2nds. The bbq ribs were a big fail. They reminded me of those wax lips at Halloween and very tough. My loaded baked potato was good. The potato salad tastes like store bought HEB brand and the coleslaw was bland. Our waitress was magnificent and gave us an extra order of ribs she said was fresh off the grill, unfortunately they were just as bad as the first. I swear they microwave them sometime in the process of serving them. We gave them to our dog, and she wouldn't even eat them. We have not eaten here since 2015, we went today because we were given a gift card. We will NOT ever visit again! To our waitress, You were awesome! I felt bad for you, you tried so hard to make up for the bad food. The problem isn't you, the problem is in the kitchen. We left you a good tip for doing an awesome job."

This place was the best for steaks now it’s was disappointing. Won’t be take an hour drive to eat her again. They should have kept the steak menu.

Beans are fantastic, and meat portions are surprisingly very small compared to what was seen on the Texas bucket list. The bean soup is fantastic. The beef and sausage, too... View menu

The po' boy sandwich is good. Dont try to order a half pound of sausage because they won't let you dine in with that. You can only have a quarter pound. The beans are really good. The banana pudding is classic.

We accidentally found this place thinking it was a Longhorn Steakhouse, the chain. We were so glad we made a mistake! This place is iconic and the food was outstanding! We will go here every trip now! Try the beans even if you don't like beans!

Was expecting far better for my first Texas BBQ. Chicken was dry, ribs turned out to be pork (from a cattle company), brisket was tough and super dry as well. The only decent thing was the beans. To be honest if this is what Texas BBQ is about, I don’t see the hype. View menu

I think that the Longhorn Cattle Company barbecue and restaurant is the best restaurant in San Benito. They have brisket, chicken, ribs, fish, turkey and the delicious sandwiches of all kinds. I recommend the Longhorn Cattle Company barbecue and restaurant to everyone.

I haven’t been here to the Longhorn Cattle Company in years, but I will say that nothing has changed. It was lunch time and we were greeted and seated quickly, the atmosphere is great along with the food and service. Both my friend and I had the poor boy sandwich, it was the perfect amount of food, not too much and not too little along with the cowboy beans. . Will definitely be back and recommend to others.
