"I've been wanting to try this place and finally made my way past on a day they weren't closed. They do not offer dine in, even though they have a small dining area which I thought was very strange because they tell you that you can sit outside (even though there's literally no one inside). I ordered the combo plate with the salmon cheesesteak and lemon pepper wings. The salmon cheesesteak was extremely buttery but the bun was still soft and crispy on the outside. It was delicious, but when I finished I felt like I needed to check my cholesterol... lol. The lemon pepper wings were cooked perfectly and not dinky little wings, plenty of meat! I felt like they needed some extra flavor. I really wanted the garlic park wings but they stopped making them. I'd like to come back and order something else to try it out again. You will definitely get the food-itis leaving here, as everything seems super heavy."

One of my favorite restaurants definitely during lunch break. My favorite is everything I order, they never let me down and they drinks are really good. (Security Guard Quay)

I haven't visited this place in years, but I wanted to support a Black-owned business before heading home. The salmon cheesesteak—something I'd never even heard of—was amazing! It was a bit greasy, but absolutely incredible! I’ll definitely be coming back more often!

My buddies and I finally had the chance to visit The Nappy Chef! The food is outstanding. The service is great. Wish dine in seating was available but I understand safety is a priority. The parking is a bit sketch but they are sharing a small space with other businesses. There wasn't much of a wait so that was great!! Overall would 100% recommend. Support black business!!!

I went to eat here for the first based upon the star reviews. When I walked in was amazed at how well and professional the owner handled his staff under pressure. I purchased a simple order of Wings fries. How they were presented was wonderful and they tasted excellent. It was a pleasure speaking with you and hearing your story. My husband who is a retired chef tasted your wings and loved them. We prayed for you and I pray that God grants you uncommon favor with your restaurant and your receive the help and support that you most desperately need.

Parking was confusing because the spaces closest to the restaurant say they are reserved for Firestone customers but the only other parking options are right in front of Firestone. However, the food was great! It’s currently (as of the end of October 2022) only takeout but there is outdoor seating available. My food was so hot when I opened the container, I’m sure it had just came out the grease. My shrimp were a little salty but not enough to ruin my meal. The mambo wing sauce tasted like a blend of teriyaki and bbq possibly. The fries were good as well. I will definitely visit again when I’m in the area. View menu

We ordered the salmon cheesesteak, a 12-piece serving of mambo wings, their signature J Max pasta, and the strawberry lemonade. Everything was delicious! The wings were just the right size. I've never tried a salmon Philly cheesesteak before, and it was a unique and enjoyable experience. The salmon was perfectly seasoned, and the bread was soft and toasted to perfection. The J Max pasta had quite a kick to it! While "spicy" is an accurate description, it was still very flavorful. The lemonade was incredibly sweet; you could easily dilute it with some water if you wanted to tone it down. Overall, I would definitely order from them again!

I have to say, this place is truly a gem! They offer some incredible dishes like J Max Pasta, Salmon cheesesteak, Strawberry Hennessy wings, Reggae Shrimp tacos, and the fantastic Vanilla Chicken Waffles! I was thoroughly impressed by the bold flavors and perfect seasonings of the food. We were fortunate enough to enjoy a meal prepared by Celebrity Chef Dontae, who has cooked for stars like Nas, Jadakiss, and Gucci Mane. This Black-owned establishment showcases some exquisite Southern cuisine. Both the food and service were exceptional. Be sure to try their other popular entrees and their flavored lemonades. While there’s limited seating available, it’s a great spot for takeout, so feel free...

"My friends and I were enjoying a beautiful night in South End and one of them had found this place online. So we stopped by for a drink. Wow! Gorgeous place! The interior design gave me the warm, welcoming feeling of being at The Grand Bohemian Lodge in Greenville SC- upscale, but unpretentious, inviting, and fun. We were immediately welcomed by the bartenders who talked to us about their different beers and kombuchas. We ordered a couple of flights to sample as many as we could and sat down to play Jenga in one of their many seating areas. Our spot was 2 old leather couches flanking a gorgeous wooden coffee table. So relaxing and sociable. I’ve never been in a brew pub with so much greenery (ferns and other foliage adorn and drape from the rafters filling corners and crannies around the room), natural wood, and light! Another great feature was a floor-to-ceiling wall cabinet filled with really cool things. The beers were unique and fun to try. The vibe is worth the visit even if you don’t love beer. I enjoyed a glass of prosecco and loved learning about and sampling the other beverages. They also have a great outdoor space for gathering where dogs are welcome. My sense is this place was designed for building community, which is something we all need more of. Turn off your cellphones and come here to meet people, pet dogs, and enjoy a great experience!"
