"The food is good for greasy Chinese. Nothing tasted weird. Our dumplings were not too doughy and they had enough filling. Orange chicken was good. Steamed broccoli and rice was good. Egg drop soup was a bit too simple/basic, but still tasty. Maybe more egg would be good? Green onions or something???‍ Beef chow fun was good, and huge. Portions are generous. I should have taken pictures. Food was well packaged. Food traveled 1.7 miles to our place and nothing spilled. We ordered through Uber Eats."

Worst customer service I've ever witnessed at a Chinese restaurant, and they're all pretty bad. Front lady has zero people skills.

Food is pretty good! Flavorful fried rice, lots of meat and tastes fresh. But be warned, the egg roll I got was definitely made for ants. Maybe they were low on stock...

This Chinese restaurant has the worst customer service I have ever seen, even for Chinese restaurants, which are known for having poor service. The hostess lacks basic people skills. View menu

My order was incorrect and the restaurant refused to correct it. After waiting 2 hours for a replacement, it never arrived. Poor customer service, would not recommend. If possible, I would give zero stars.

My order was incorrect, and they refused to resolve the issue. After waiting two hours for a new order, it still didn't arrive. The customer service was lacking, and I wouldn't recommend this place. If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would.

For years, I have been a loyal customer of The New People Kitchen because the food is consistently delicious. The service is also exceptional. Today, I received a handwritten note with my order which made me feel appreciated and grateful for this restaurant. The food is fantastic and the service is top-notch. Thank you! I use to come to the New peoples kitchen and the food use to be good but not anymore. Now they cheat you and give you baby wings with your order. The wings look very old and small. My rice was bad and it didn't taste fresh. You can just tell it wasn't fresh Chinese. The taste was off and I threw it in the trash. TAKKING is up the block and is a better Chinese restaurant. I go there.

"When we called to reserve a table, no one informed us that there was a dining time limit of 1.5 hours. My friend wanted to invite more people to join us for dinner, but I was unsure if everyone would agree to the minimum charge of $60, including taxes and tips. I confirmed a reservation for 7 people during my second call, but ultimately, only 6 of us showed up. The table we were given was quite small, making it uncomfortable for six people, especially with the mandatory minimum spending of $60, as well as a 20% tip. For just two people, the minimum tip is 18%. I was confused about the dining time limit—was it two hours or 1.5? The party area was limited to just the backyard for additional seating. I was with friends who didn’t know the group well, and we arrived early at 3 PM, but we couldn’t wait until 6:30 PM. That’s why we ended up sitting at a separate table for two. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn’t seem to care and couldn’t arrange for us to be seated closer together. We had no choice in the matter. To make matters worse, the female waiter had a poor attitude. It felt like we were dining in a sidewalk market. She questioned another girl who served me ponzu sauce, apparently because I looked impatient when I saw her face. Her attitude only worsened after that. It seems like they need to train their employees better, as they seem unaware of how to provide good service. As for the food, it was just okay, typical of basic Japanese cuisine. There were too many restrictions! Customers are forced to adhere to the restaurant’s rules and limitations. I cannot recommend this place unless someone is specifically looking for a fast-food experience. In short, I don’t think I’ll be returning next time."
