"Now, let's talk about the new menu items. One important aspect of Skal is that everything is made in-house. The cucumber topping, marinated mozzarella, mushroom Tartine, and tomato dill relish are all prepared on site with care. This means the cucumbers are zesty, the mozzarella is unforgettable, the mushrooms provide a delightful umami experience, and the tomato relish bursts with flavor! These aren't your typical small plates; they really stand out. After enjoying these delicious bites, we were too full for entrées, so we decided to try something from the crunchy stuff section and ordered the Minnesota Nachos. They make their potato chips from scratch every day. Instead of simply buying pre-made chips, they go the extra mile to create something special for their guests. Once they’ve crafted those amazing potato chips, they stack them high with cheese and other delicious toppings, served alongside a garlic dill dip that you'll want to take home—good news, you can, as it’s also available for purchase on the menu. If the great flavors and excellent beer aren't enough, you’ll also appreciate the fantastic service! The owners and staff are friendly, attentive, and cater to the needs of everyone who visits. A couple of tips for a fantastic experience: be sure to call ahead to confirm they're open, and arrive early, as it can get busy—you won't want to miss out on those amazing potato chips!"

"Unfortunately, last night and two years ago, the service was quite rude. The server never smiled, and their demeanor felt almost hostile. Additionally, our walleye was lukewarm and overcooked, which was disappointing. It just doesn’t feel like the same place we once loved. After selling our lake cabin last summer, the hour-and-a-half drive no longer seems worth it. The greeters when you enter are very pleasant, but it would be beneficial to train your servers to show more care for the customers. A little attention could lead to better tips in return. Sadly, we have decided not to return. We’ve given it too many chances, and it's disheartening to let go of such a lovely spot."

"My 1st time coming here with my 5 sisters our mom. Our server came to the table 1 to give menus, 2 took orders 3 brought water food… we had to go to the bar in between that for beers refills because the waitress literally did not check on us.. I didn’t realize there’s 2 sides to the restaurant, which interestingly enough 2 brothers have Billy’s they both had their own ideas what they wanted to do.. each brother took a side decorated it their own. Anyhoo we waited for quite awhile to get our tabs just to say, this girl missed out on a fabulous tip since most of us have been servers do own businesses. Don’t worry she still got a few dollars for the food being good"
