"I'm sorry to say that this restaurant has really declined lately. While the water view and Rudy Duck beer are still fantastic, the quality of the food has become quite disappointing. It pains me to turn away from this place, especially because of its beautiful waterfront scenery, but if you're looking for more than just a drink and an appetizer, you might leave feeling let down. We've also noticed a similar drop in quality at the Ruddy Duck on Solomons Island. Overall, I'd rate the food and service a 2, but the atmosphere deserves a 5."

The food and drinks were absolutely delicious, and we enjoyed stunning sunset views over the water. The staff was incredibly friendly, and our server, who I believe was named Ryan, was fantastic. We were in the area for a short visit after dropping off our son at the Merchant Marine School in Piney Point, but we definitely plan on coming back to the Ruddy Duck the next time we're in town. I loved it so much that I couldn't resist buying a Ruddy Duck T-shirt!
