"It is about the food. Let me be clear. The tables are basic. The chairs are older inexpensive basic seating. Outside seating is a mix of picnic tables and small tables. The outside seating is well shaded and you do have views of Muskegon Lake. The windows were not clean and it is definitely casual. So, why 5 stars? Food and Service. I had the Smokehouse Reuben and the brisket was extremely tender with a nice hint of smoke. My wife had the pulled pork and could have gladly eaten it without additional sauce. The food was hands down better than the new national BBQ chain that recently opened on Henry Street. Our server was quick to address our order and refill my drink. Give it a try."

I tried your place for the first time today. The Brisket was my favorite, it literally melted in my mouth!!! Ryan our waiter was excellent!!!

Best pulled pig and brisket! And you can not go wrong to add some corn casroles!!! The waiting staff was so friendly and the food came out quickly! Even my children loved it!

The food was wonderful; we tried the brisket and smoked chicken and would definitely recommend both! The staff was friendly, and there is a great view of the lake when eating on the deck.

Food was amazing, but the service needs alittle help. After my initial drink was empty it took around 20 minutes to get a refill and even then I had to stop her and ask for one since checking on your tables wasn't a thing she felt needed to be done. Absolutely unacceptable View menu

Went there for the first time yesterday with 8 friends. It was wonderful. Loved the brisket (it was tender like prime rib), green beans with bacon, corn casserole, potato salad and corn bread. Owner Harold and server were also great. We will be back! Only sorry the peach cobbler wasn't ready yet!

YUM!!!! The Brisket is sooo soft that you can cut it with a fork! The chicken has smoke taste thru and thru. The ribs and the pulled pig are also excellent. And the staff... so friendly and friendly. I can't say enough here. It's just so good! I waited for it all winter and it was good. I love this place!!!
