The food was amazing! I had the blue crabs for appetizer and the peace Captain Platter. The best seafood on the James River!! I definitely come back. I'd just suggest doing half a plate. It was just too much, but it was all so good!!

Surry Seafood's first visit. The food was excellent. I had the seafood salad, very tasty. There were four of us and we were all full and happier. The staff was on everything and the outside seats were great. Nice place to eat. Take the Jamestown ferry makes the trip even better.

The baked flounder and bacon-wrapped salmon were both underrated choices on the menu. Some of the crab claw meat tasted frozen. It seems the fryer oil wasn't hot enough, as the fried items ended up being quite greasy. The service was good, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the prices were reasonable. View menu

Absolutely some of the best seafood I’ve ever tasted! After our fermentation tour and ferry ride, we were looking forward to a nice meal, and it certainly did not disappoint! Thank you, Surry! I highly recommend this place to anyone nearby or looking for incredible food—definitely worth checking out! The bacon-wrapped scallops are simply perfect!

During our time in Williamsburg, we opted to take the ferry across the river to visit Surry Seafood Company. This hidden gem is definitely worth the trip. The ferry ride adds a touch of excitement to the experience, making it all the more enjoyable. The crab dip is superb, and the hush puppies, shrimp, and burgers are delicious too. Plus, the view is absolutely stunning!

A hidden gem! This beautiful restaurant sits deep off the roads of route 10 in Surry, VA. This place did not disappoint. A beautiful location surrounded by water and an atmosphere of friendly people. The view is absolutely stunning! After eating, you can enjoy walking along the pier and just take in the beauty of nature around you! The food and service was great! Fish was fresh (we had bacon wrapped salmon and fried catfish), and the best hush puppies I ever tasted. Water and tea will come in a small glass but refilled. View menu

Our waitress was wonderful. We were a large party, and we were surprised that we were not assigned 2 servers. Sarah took our orders and each was correct (14). She was pleasant and attentive to our needs. Definitely an asset to this restaurant. There was a discrepancy on one of the bills and the manager was called for assistance. He was very nasty to her when she asked him how to resolve the issue, and the whole situation happened when the customer was standing right there. I gave a 4 for the food. I rate 5 for sevice, 0 for management.

My best friend and I took the Jamestown ferry to Surry on a Friday evening to check out this restaurant. We were seated right away, which was great. The atmosphere is lovely, especially since we were able to sit on the outdoor patio by the water. Unfortunately, the food did not meet our expectations. My friend ordered the bacon-wrapped salmon, and I had the stuffed flounder, both served with baked potatoes and broccoli. Unfortunately, both dishes were quite bland and not worth the price. On a positive note, the bacon-wrapped scallops appetizer and the hush puppies were tasty. The service was good, but I’m unsure if we'd come back because of the food quality.

I am only giving 2 stars because the people in this establishment were attentive servers and friendly and great. However, for a fine dining seafood restaurant, the food was incredibly disappointed. We wait over an hour to be seated and then waited an equal hour for our food. Our food did not come to us until after 9pm. When we then learned once we finished the very plain, overpriced food, that the establishment closed at 9pm, an hour ago, and they no longer had coffee refreshments for after meal.
