"I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant, but I ended up feeling quite disappointed. I ordered a variety of tacos to get a well-rounded experience: chicken, shrimp, salmon, and fish. Here are my ratings for each taco: Chicken 6/10, Salmon 6/10, Shrimp 5/10, Fish 1/10. The chicken and salmon tacos were decent, thanks to a rich and zesty mayo. The shrimp had potential; I liked the toppings, but they were unfortunately overcooked and ended up rubbery. The fish taco, however, was not good at all—I couldn't even finish it after just one bite. It was overcooked to the point of being flavorless and was made worse by the purple slaw. The slaw was too watery and soaked through the tortilla and fish with a cold purple juice, which not only tasted unpleasant but also made the fish look grey and unappetizing. I wasn't a fan of the corn tortillas they used, which were the leathery kind you often find in freezer sections at health food stores. Overall, the meal was quite pricey and didn’t live up to my expectations or the cost."

From the Cajun salmon burrito with mango salsa to the grilled chicken burritos, along with the fresh salsa and chips, everything was incredibly tasty, fresh, and satisfying.

I ordered the Chicken Tacos and the Pork Belly Tacos, and everything was wonderful—except for the fact that they don't double-wrap the tacos. The single layer causes them to become quite soggy by the time they arrive. Otherwise, it would have easily been a 5-star experience without the sogginess. View menu

The prices here are way too high. I ordered the steak tacos and the steak burrito, but the meat was unrecognizable and not the grilled flank or strip steak I had anticipated. The taco tortillas were raw, lacking any steaming or grilling. The black beans were undercooked and tough. I won't be returning.

The food is absolutely delicious, and the staff is incredibly friendly. I have several disabilities, and they are always very accommodating when bringing my to-go order out to me. At times, the music can be a bit loud, but I really have no other complaints! The prices are very reasonable, and it’s such a lovely place to have in Stamford.

These are easily some of the best tacos and burritos I’ve ever had, and I’ve even enjoyed freshly grilled Mexican food on a beach in Cozumel! The ingredients are incredibly fresh, and the flavors are outstanding. The Mexican corn is simply amazing. This spot is a real treasure in Stamford. This is an amazing place! I’m a big fan of tacos and always look for them wherever I travel, but I usually find the quality lacking in this area. At The Taco Project, not only is the atmosphere warm and the decor stylish, but the tacos I tried were fantastic. The chicken and steak were juicy and tender, bursting with flavor. We’ll definitely be returning!

I was eager to try the tacos at this local spot, conveniently located in a plaza with plenty of nearby attractions. The atmosphere was promising and visually appealing. However, the chorizo was served in large, oddly cut cubes that felt more suited for a toddler than a proper dish. The fish taco, although typical, was disappointingly bland compared to what I expected. The tortillas tasted like they had been frozen, which took away from the overall experience. On top of that, the prices were quite steep considering the quality of the food.
