"I'm really disappointed with what Uncommon has become. I used to love stopping by for a quick sandwich between classes, but ever since it was shut down and taken over by new owners a couple of years ago, it hasn't been the same. If you're looking for a bottle of milk, you won’t have a problem, but every time I've visited (about 3 or 4 times over the past few months), I've been unable to order a fresh sandwich. The deli seems to be closed, or I'm directed to the fridge where the sandwiches are sad, flat, and dry. They've removed my favorite sandwich from the menu, and since I can't get anything fresh or made to order, I finally decided to try one from the fridge. It seems I need to find a new sandwich spot—I'd take the old, grungy store with great food over this overpriced, gentrified place that sells gluten-free cookies any day. By the way, the pretzel from Hinterland Market was so hard that I couldn't even cut it with a knife."

Great sandwich and very nice folks. Beer selection was pretty wide, and they also had lots of local meat options.

This is my go-to spot for the best craft beer selection in town. I highly recommend enjoying a Tom Collins sandwich while taking in the view of the river from their deck.

Nice corner grocery store with well selected items and good (pricey) selection of wines. My spouse swears that the fresh fruits in season are better than the 2 supermarkets we have in our tiny Village!! Try it!

Delicious, fresh, hand crafted sandwiches! Probably the best sandwiches in Central Vermont. Plus, they are super nice and welcoming. The market has quality goods, but is not extensive. Go here for the sandwiches.

the folks are most friendly and the menu was quite impressive. very creative options, regular specials on rotation and light groceries. i very much enjoy their porch overlooking the river and downtown from a unique perspective. this is my lunch destination when traveling past Montpellier! I stopped for eggs today. I was in the middle of baking a cake and discovered that I was out (slip! The market was made of eggs, but the guy behind the counter friendly GAVE me 3 eggs from behind (what they use for their deli, I suppose. I was displaced by his generosity and kindness. I will definitely be back! What a great advantage for our neighborhood!

Fantastic deli food! I've sampled several items, and none have disappointed. I can confidently say you can't go wrong with any of their offerings. The latest sandwich I tried was the Caprese, and it has quickly become my new favorite. Usually, deli sandwiches can be a bit lacking; the ciabatta might be too tough or something along those lines. But this one was absolutely delicious. As for the market itself, it boasts a great selection considering its size. The space isn't crowded, making it easy to navigate. The staff were consistently friendly, which is a significant factor for me. I've always felt welcomed here, and I look forward to returning to explore more of their menu!

"I 've been shopping here since I was a teenager. I 've always loved the selections of fresh organic produce. I love the deli and basically everything about the store. The only reason I 'm not giving it 5 stars is because of the lack of produce research done for some of the organic produce that is being sold. I recently found out that the honeycrisp apples are coated with a product called Apeel, which is controversial and has very little reputable research behind it. If you go to their website they are NOT very transparent in how they make Apeel, they only keep repeating that it 's safe . Not sure how anything can be called organic with substances being added to it that are not considered organic. I would have preferred if this had been disclosed on the label, however it is not. Like GMO 's used to be, large corporations feel like they don 't need to disclose this to consumers because it 's supposedly safe . I have a right to know what I 'm ingesting and a right to make the choice not to buy it, however if I don 't know then that 's taking that right away from me. Very disappointed in the store right now and the produce manager who allowed this to go unchecked. Unfortunately I 'm now very concerned about what else is being sold in the store. It is really saddening that even the health food stores are not reliable as they once were for clean food sources. If no one is reliable, then why am I shopping at a place that is supposed to be healthy and have high quality products? I don 't mind the prices as long as I 'm getting quality and transparency. Apparently I m not."
