"Yesterday, we attempted to dine at this restaurant but unfortunately, the credit card machine was out of order due to a storm. Our mistake for not having cash on hand. We decided to give it another shot today and we were not disappointed. This place is a gem for breakfast or lunch, offering a wide variety of bagels, specialty drinks, salads, and wraps. I opted for a veggie wrap and was pleasantly surprised to find black bean hummus included. It was delicious and the highlight was the pineapple slaw, which I now believe is essential in any cole slaw. My husband enjoyed a salad with the special scoop of the day, finding the chicken salad quite tasty. The restaurant has a charming atmosphere with local artwork and amusing quotes, and the WiFi was reliable. We were delighted with our experience and particularly enjoyed chatting with the chef."

"The party of eight was seated, followed by the parties of five and six. Then, a large group of over 20 people arrived. The chef/owner came out to greet them; it turned out they were his wife’s family, the Shulers. They seated the entire group of 20 ahead of us, even though we had been waiting for an hour and a half by that time. I acknowledged it was his restaurant and he could manage it as he saw fit, but it felt unfair. Next, the party of seven, who had arrived after us, was also seated. They were from out of town and had been waiting a long time, too. About 15 minutes later, I decided to check on our table. The hostess told me her ‘boss’ had instructed her to seat the party of seven, even though we should have been next as the next largest group. By then, we had been waiting for two hours. Despite our longer wait and our clearly hungry kids, they showed no empathy or explanation. I was baffled by the way we were treated and why we were continually overlooked. As an elementary teacher, I can say we’re a nice family with well-behaved kids. It felt like we were being dismissed simply because we were out-of-town visitors, with the restaurant catering only to locals. That’s their choice, of course, but I’ve felt wronged ever since. We ultimately left and went to CJ’s instead. I’m sure the food at Pasqualino’s is good, but I couldn’t support a business that so clearly didn’t value our presence. By the way, I rarely write reviews, especially negative ones, but my family’s experience was genuinely disappointing. I hope yours is better."

"After reading so many great reviews we were excited for a good meal. The was food bland. Our guacamole dip was just mashed avocado and no spice. The steak fajitas were bland. There servers sat around eating while our chips and drink were empty and appetizers getting cold. The server delivered our food and walked away. My son had to get up for napkins. Our server never smiled once and had the meanest look on her face.Parking lot very dark. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!"

"When we first got there, there was a wait. We had about 20 parties in front of us. We were worried we wouldn’t get to try the breakfast. But the owner was extremely friendly and let us know ahead of time that we may not be seated in time for the breakfast menu. Thankfully some parties left and we were able to be seated quicker than we expected. The service was amazing. My husband ordered the country fried steak breakfast and let me just tell you, it was one of the best we had ever tried. I ordered the mountain man breakfast so I could try a little of everything. The portions are HUGE so really we could have shared. Everything was delicious. All of the staff were friendly, and it felt like eating at your grandparents house. We will definitely stop the next time we are in Bryson city. Also let me add. Try the gravy and the sausage. You will not be disappointed."

"Wow! The food was absolutely delicious, and we had a wonderful dining experience. We started off in the relaxing bar, enjoying perfect martinis, and then moved on to a lovely dinner. There was no sense of being rushed, and I can't speak highly enough about the food. The lamb was so tender it practically melted in my mouth, just like the prime rib. The rest of our group had fresh trout, which was excellent! The family-style side dishes featured seasonal vegetables and homemade salad dressings, along with snacks made from cherished family recipes. Desserts were included with dinner, and the hot triple berry cobbler with ice cream was so good that it completely derailed my diet. After our meal, we explored the charming, century-old inn, which felt like an adventure as we wandered down each unique hallway. We even had the opportunity to see some of the suites. The inn has a rustic, historical vibe, with many of its features remaining unchanged, which is wonderful if you're looking to step back in time."
