"We have a place in Alarka and have been coming to Bryson City for 30+ years. Our favorite restaurant in Sylva is the Mad Batter so we had high hopes for finally trying the food at Nantahala Brewing. Unfortunately, we will NOT be back. I got the pulled porkplate w/ sriracha bourbon sauce. Half of the pieces of pork were so crusty that they couldn?t be chewed. The rest of the porkwas dry, only slightly warm, and tasteless. (I offered bites to others at the table and everyone agreed. To make matters worse,I?m gluten sensitive. I asked if the fries were breaded and the barista taking my order said they were not. When they weredelivered I was immediately concerned because they were clearly coated in something. I asked the guy who delivered them, heasked the cook ? and nobody knows what?s on the fries. They offered to bring me a salad and asked what dressing I preferred.And?. The salad never came. My husbands order was also wrong, but they offered to fix HIS and brought him extra tots. So maybeit?s a guy thing?? Who knows. Doesn?t matter at this point."

I approached the hostess at Nantahala Brewing to request a table for dinner, but instead of seating us, she and the wait staff began to argue with each other.

Nice atmosphere but terrible food and drinks! Wings were white with sauce. Order a strawberry lemonade cocktail that I couldn?t drink because it was taste like pink seltzer water View menu

The staff at this restaurant displayed an unfriendly attitude and the service was lacking. The food was of poor quality and not worth the high prices. However, those who enjoy a politically correct atmosphere might find the restaurant's unique vibe appealing.

We stopped here today to get a burger for lunch. This is the first time we have been back since they changed their menu. I think this new menu is much better suited for the area. My husband ordered the Swiss burger with fries and I had the 1/2 order ofnachos. Both were very good. I recommend stopping if you are in the area.

Extremely disappointed with the service and the food. I could see they were short-staffed so I assumed it would take a little while to get our food. When it came out an hour later everything was cold except the chicken tenders which we 're burned. I letthem know we were dissatisfied with our meal, And all I got was.. well we are short staffed . I told her that would have beenfine and we would have waited for the food if it had been at least warm..... This was a picture of an $8 plate of cold floppybeer cheese nachos View menu

We visit Bryson City every fall and have given this place a shot the last 3 years, and that was 2 shots too many. We?ve had a bad experience each time. The bartenders are never friendly, and we haven?t had 1 good experience with the food. This year weordered the nachos and that was the last straw (see picture). We thought for sure they must have inadvertently given us a halforder of nachos, but nope, we got our bill and were charged for a full order $14. Not even sure how they can call what wereceived nachos. Unless you?re coming here to just grab drinks, forget it. It?s also disappointing that they have beautifuloutdoor fire pits that they either 1) never light or 2) don?t even have firewoo...

"The party of eight was seated, followed by the parties of five and six. Then, a large group of over 20 people arrived. The chef/owner came out to greet them; it turned out they were his wife’s family, the Shulers. They seated the entire group of 20 ahead of us, even though we had been waiting for an hour and a half by that time. I acknowledged it was his restaurant and he could manage it as he saw fit, but it felt unfair. Next, the party of seven, who had arrived after us, was also seated. They were from out of town and had been waiting a long time, too. About 15 minutes later, I decided to check on our table. The hostess told me her ‘boss’ had instructed her to seat the party of seven, even though we should have been next as the next largest group. By then, we had been waiting for two hours. Despite our longer wait and our clearly hungry kids, they showed no empathy or explanation. I was baffled by the way we were treated and why we were continually overlooked. As an elementary teacher, I can say we’re a nice family with well-behaved kids. It felt like we were being dismissed simply because we were out-of-town visitors, with the restaurant catering only to locals. That’s their choice, of course, but I’ve felt wronged ever since. We ultimately left and went to CJ’s instead. I’m sure the food at Pasqualino’s is good, but I couldn’t support a business that so clearly didn’t value our presence. By the way, I rarely write reviews, especially negative ones, but my family’s experience was genuinely disappointing. I hope yours is better."
