Sarah and Carolina at front desk were SUPER helpful and got me checked in nice and early so I wouldn't have to come back. Went above and beyond finding me a room. Well definitely be back next year for comic-con again

Beautiful lobby! I felt as I was entering a castle Chandeliers are huge and beautiful. Front desk agents are so polite and helpful especially Sarah she gave all sorts of information for us to have the best vacation in San Diego. View menu

I am so grateful to Carolina and Sarah for being so helpful and accommodating. It can be very stressful to travel with a young child and they were able to meet our needs with such efficiency I could frankly kiss their feet. Beautiful hotel, fantastic customer service. Give Carolina and Sarah a raise!

Went here for afternoon tea and would not recommend. Very restrictive: only 1 pot of tea allowed, only one scone served. All of the desserts were ice cold like they had been sitting in freezer. Also, did not serve in traditional style. Served in courses so process was lengthy even for afternoon tea. Very nice ambience but the service and value needs a lot more attention. Gratuity was auto added and not earned.

Spent my birthday at the Westgate and so happy I did! The minute you pull in you get the feeling of coming home, from the valet to the front desk all smiles and hospitality. Location was just what we were looking for was able to park, drop our luggage and walk to Petco Park for a Padre game, and then later that evening to an excellent restaurant for dinner. Very clean, comfortable and accommodating. Would recommend to a friend and be happy to spend my next birthday there! View menu

The Westgate hearkens back to a golden age of travel and leisure. Every detail has been given attention. Every member of the staff is welcoming and engaged. The rooms are serene and sumptuous, perfectly prepared. We stayed here for comic con with our work because we worked the comic con event. This was the probably the worst hotel because their computer system is unreliable. Others in our group also had issues one room was even canceled. We had student workers with us from our school. We told them to not charge them $1000 incidentals because they are just college kids they can’t afford to pay $1000. We argued back and forth to lower it for them and finally they agreed to charge just $100 for incidentals. We thought our problem was solved but then later that night the student said their bank was charged over $240 which they were explained as the charge for half of the room stay. Let me preface this by saying even though there are many criticisms in this review, this is still one of the better hotel experiences my wife and I have had.So, two times the water throughout the hotel was shut off during our stay. Unlucky or aging infrastructure, I don 't know. The trolley noise at night was probably the worst part of the entire stay and woke us up from sleep several times every night. Thankfully wife brought a white noise machine that lessened the wakings, but this is still probably the biggest con. The wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling and held up by tape in several places.
