"Hidden away from the hustle of downtown, I was blown away with Blue Jasmine Tea Ice Cream here at Tin Pot Creamery. Fragrant and refreshing with a faint bubblegum aftertaste. This luscious blue scoop was not too sweet. Come and get lucky with this rare blue find. A natural food coloring agent, dried butterfly pea flowers are steeped together with delicate jasmine buds and green tea in a honey syrup before blended into a harmonious profile . This ice cream has a gentle floral taste and a mild sweet flavor similar to chamomile with a brilliant cerulean blue hue when prepared as a tea. By the way, if your mouth is aflame after a surprising fiery spicy dinner, this will cool you instantly. An enchanting blend of fabulous fusion! Also available at Whole Foods Market."

One star because it is permanently closed as of 8/28/22. Nearest one is now in Palo Alto.

This site is no longer open and has permanently closed. Used to have some great ice cream and fresh cones.

We went to the restaurant at 9:15 pm on Saturday night and my daughter ordered a sundae. They made the sundae but then told us they didn't have any sauces available. We were surprised that on a Saturday night, just before closing at 9:30 pm, they had already cleaned and put away the sauces.

This restaurant serves the best ice cream in the Bay Area, if not the world. I have never tasted anything better! Although it is a bit expensive, especially if you add toppings, Tin Pot is worth every penny. Don't forget to take some pints home with you! I recommend trying the malted milkshake and Tcho chocolate flavors.

Looks like this location closed recently : as of 8/28) It didn't seem that long that we were just there and sitting on the nearby swing across from Fieldworks) to enjoy our scoops. Before they took the earl grey away, it was ALWAYS my go-to. But this did give me the opp to try some other flavors and I ended up liking the Blue Jasmine. Sad to see this location gone, since now the closest one will be Palo Alto. I may have to rely on picking it up from Whole Foods now. View menu

I have to say I'm a fan! I go back and fourth between Tin Pot Creamery and Salt and Straw. Tin Pot's location is more appealing to me than the hectic Salt and Straw location. I've had Tin Pot Creamery's lavender ice cream. I have come to appreciate the small scoop portions, keeps me from ordering a whole pint and devouring it all in one sitting. Also appreciate their biodegradable serving bowls and spoons. This area is also great for families! There's a Bocce Court right across the street. Plenty of park areas to walk about and wonder as you drench your pallete with Tin Pot's Creamy goodness. Family friendly location with easy parking! Overall I'd recommend this location.

I was able to finish a generous scoop of ice cream all by myself! That's the true compliment there, because normally ice cream gets wayyy to sweet after a few licks for me. I got the blue jasmine tea. I guess the blue coloring isn't necessary but honestly it grabbed my attention and I liked the way it looked, but most importantly it tasted great. My boyfriend had the malted milk and it reminded me of the ovaltine I had as a kid, tasty but sweeter than the blue jasmine tea I had. So many cool unique flavors, would love to return to try some more. There's other food places nearby and a large open space outside to sit or walk around. Street parking isn't too bad, might have to walk a block or t...

"Curry Hyuga had long been on my culinary radar, and today, I finally had the chance to experience it. The occasion arose as I needed to pick up my partner at SFO later, and given the mere 10-minute drive from the restaurant to the airport, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to satiate my appetite and make the most of my time, rather than aimlessly circling around the airport. Conveniently, there are numerous public parking lots scattered throughout the town. The restaurant opens its doors at 11:30 am, and I arrived promptly at 11:25 am, only to find a queue already forming outside, as depicted in the photo. The attentive server, Yuki promptly greeted each customer and kept my water glasses filled, setting a positive tone for the dining experience.Opting for their Signature Curry Rice Entree, which features their caramelized onion curry accompanied by shredded cabbage, creamy potato salad, and Fukujin pickles, I decided to elevate my meal by adding Chicken Cutlet Katsu Curry with Chicken Karaage as additional toppings. To my amazement, my order was delivered to my table in a mere 3 minutes, which left me thoroughly impressed. Curry Hyuga's standout feature is their incredibly tender meat, perfectly complemented by their mouthwatering curry—a true masterpiece with Kanazawa-style sweetness and richness that sets it apart. To further customize your dish, they offer a selection of five different spices: Ichimi Togarashi, Jalapeno Pepper, Pequin Pepper, Wiri Wiri Pepper, and Orange Habanero. I had the pleasure of sampling all of them, and personally, I found the Wiri Wiri Pepper and Orange Habanero powder to be standout choices. Their spiciness elevated the curry to a whole new level, complemented by the unique fragrance of the peppers."

"I made reservations here for Valentine's day and everything was perfect! Their service was incredibly friendly and attentive, and with each dish it was cool how they talked about the food and explained some of the tastes and flavors just before we began eating. And they get huge props for accommodating my dietary restrictions and modifying almost every item on their menu to something I could eat! (5/5) Osetra caviar I normally hate caviar, but this one was really good! It's cured so it's a bit salty (4/5) Sauteed baby abalone Pretty good, although it doesn't quite compare to ones I've had in the past. That said, one doesn't eat abalone often, so I think the bar for abalone is pretty high (5/5) Warm lobster salad Wow! The lobster was cooked perfectly and melted in my mouth. Also I thought the charred avocado was interesting; they blowtorch the avocado to give it a slightly tougher texture on the outside, mirroring the lobster (4/5) Braised Lamb Ragu The lamb was exploding with spices and flavor, although it was a tad dry inside. The pappardelle was perfectly al dente (4/5) Black Cherry Sorbet Pretty good, the puffed black rice was a bit hard (one of the pieces was like a rock) but the sorbet was flavorful without being too strong (5/5) Hokkaido A5 Wagyu This was the star of the show. Have you ever had steak that melts in your mouth like butter?? The only problem with this dish is that there were only 2 slices of steak! I wish there were 3! (5/5) Spicy Kiss Passion Fruit Juice They made a modification and gave me a small shot of spicy, fizzy passion fruit juice. The chili had a lot of heat but actually went well with the sourness and fizz of the juice. I would never have though of making passion fruit spicy, but it was pretty tasty (4/5) Cubed fruit stack I don't know what to call this since they also did an entirely separate fruit dessert for me, but it was essentially a Rubik's cube made of watermelon, kiwi, and strawberry, topped with a dark chocolate covered strawberry. (5/5) House made meringue I also don't normally like meringue, but this was like candy and tasted amazing! Thanks Viognier for a wonderful evening and accommodating my dietary needs, everything was solid!"
