"Denied access to the bride at her own Bachelorette party.Wednesday August 17th myself as well as ELEVEN customers stopped at this bar during our sip n cycle which was booked for my bachelorette party. I spent the evening drinking and enjoying my time with family and friends from out of town before my wedding that Friday. This time is so valued not only because it was the week of my wedding but because my Husband is active duty military and we’re only able to come home once or twice a year. Everything was wonderful until we came to Tommy Jacks. We we’re at Tommy Jackson back in January for the burger battle and was served without question. Unfortunately I was denied drinks at my Bachelorette party. I’m 22 years old and will be 23 in a month. My ID is a Florida ID when I got my license I was 20 so it was still vertical I asked the women at the GOVERNMENT office if I would need a new one once I turn 21 she informed me that it’s NOT necessary since the license is valid until 2028.When we got to the bar and he checked my ID he said it wasn’t vailed and could easily be a fake. It was also made very clear this bar tender was from Florida so he should know the laws. I then said “do I need my military ID to prove to you that it’s really me?” The bar tender then asked if I had it with me I told him I left it at home because all I brought was a small purse with my phone one debit card and my license which was consider valid there in January i only mentioned the second ID out of sarcasm because I’ve never had this issue. My family and friends left the bar with me to go back to our sip N cycle where my ID was valid. As we were leaving their were customers saying “Seriously she’s the bride” we even had people climbing the fence telling us to come back inside and that they would buy me my drinks since they wouldn’t serve me. My friends and family screamed at them from the road telling them no as we drove away.I’m extremely disappointed by this but it didn’t ruin our night we went on to have fun at places that know what a real drivers licenses looks like. Although moving forward when my husband and I come to visit our in laws we will not be coming here. I would also like to add that my ID was used at a Florida liquor store the week before we left where the scanned it and they didn’t bat an eye."

Cheap drinks, good fries, good wings, good burgers, nice patio with bags, connect 4, giant chess, and giant jenga. Favorite dive in the city. View menu

The atmosphere at the bar was quite lively, but I found the surroundings to be dark and somewhat run-down. I didn't stay for too long as it was also quite loud, which made it uncomfortable for me. Unfortunately, this wasn't my favorite bar.

the short -sassy -spray tanned- red head bartender is a, C U Next Tuesday….denied drinks based on a tip that wasn’t given because she never brought me a receipt to give a tip… ended up giving the little brat cash… never going back…if I could select zero stars I would… the one bartender ruined the entire experience and the nostalgia I once had for tommy jacks. They do have great food though… ?

I usually enjoy this bar, but I had a frustrating experience recently. I informed the staff that my Lyft would arrive in six minutes. Unfortunately, a staff member treated me poorly and ended up kicking me out, even though I was just waiting for my ride. I was left feeling hurt and disappointed, especially since this was one of my favorite places. I know it may not mean much to others, but it really impacted my experience. View menu

I often go here and spend too much money. People are usually friendly, but you get the occasional douche. I called a lyp last night at 1:30. The people who close evil were super aggressive. It was 1:45 when he grabbed my arm and the lower back and pushed me out of the door. I could understand if I was confronted, but I literally stood there on my ride. It wasn't necessary for him to put my hands on me. I'm disgusting with this place.

I typically enjoy this bar, but I had a disappointing experience recently. I informed the staff that my Lyft would arrive in six minutes. However, a staff member approached me and, despite my condition, rudely asked me to leave the premises. I was in pain, having just injured my arms and lower back, and I was just waiting for my ride. I felt really disrespected by how I was treated. It’s unfortunate because this used to be my favorite bar.

"Looks can be deceiving. I don't think this place would have turned my head once, if I'd even noticed it in the first place. However, we wanted something different, and online reviews said it was excellent. It's not excellent, this place was phenomenal! The waiter was very nice and gave us great information on the menu to help us decide. We got the fresh spring rolls as an appetizer and even my somewhat picky 9 year old devoured his quickly. Between the 5 in my family, we got pork with sticky rice (the meat is not in a sauce), num ansom chrouk (very different in taste and a great savory dish), banh chao (very tasty and the sauce is a little on the sweeter side), general chicken (had a bit of kick), and my youngest got the sweet and sour shrimp. EVERYTHING was delicious, even the sweet and sour shrimp. I suspected it would taste like your average fast food fried shrimp with dipping sauce, but it had a variation in taste that made it hard for me to eat just one. I had the num ansom chrouk and it was just enough to fill me, but leave room to nibble on everyone else's dishes too. We all had just a bit of left overs so portions were good. I felt the prices were fitting, though price is always relative to your financial situation I suppose. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to try something new. I suspect this will be a regular stop on our trips to S.F. now and I eagerly anticipate trying something different when we go back."
