"The food was truly exceptional—absolutely amazing! The restaurant reminded me of a place featured on Guy Fieri's "Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives." We spent $40 on two sandwiches (a French Dip and a Big Southwest with extra gravy), a bowl of Chicken Noodle Soup that was more like Tortilla Chicken Noodle Soup, and a large Sprite. Everything was incredibly delicious, and the quality of the food was outstanding. The food, service, and atmosphere all contributed to a great experience. However, we did feel that it was a bit pricey for the portion sizes and what we ordered. While we thoroughly enjoyed our meal, we didn’t think it was quite worth $40. The price is the only factor that might deter us from dining here regularly. We will definitely return, but not as often as we would like. A heads up to other diners: be ready to spend a bit more. In our opinion, a fair price would have been around $25 to $30."

"I'm not sure how we've never been here. Main Street Restaurant has what I think is the best breakfast place in Idaho Springs. They have a huge selection of Benedict's and omelettes. I would say it was larger than any other restaurant I've seen, and they have even married the two into a benedict omelette, which my wife ordered. There are honestly a lot of places to eat in Idaho Springs, but this is going to the top of my list. The service was great and there was seating on New Years Day. I ordered the Hash Benedict, so instead of the traditional Canadian bacon, there's corned beef hash. Which is an amalgam of two of my favorite breakfasts. And it was great. I couldn't finish it all because I partied a little too hard on New Years Eve, but it even reheated well. The Benedict Omelette was also very good. There was diced Canadian bacon, onions and hollandaise sauce in the omelette. It came with a slice of toast and some homefries. It was a large meal. We overheard another waiter mention that you HAVE to get the bacon, and I agree. Unless you're a vegetarian, get the bacon. It's thick sliced and delicious. I'm more of a sausage guy, but this bacon was good. I'd highly recommend MSR if you can find parking and you are hungry for breakfast. This is a GREAT local gem with great food. Don't tell all your friends though. I want to still be able to get a seat when I'm rolling through!"

"I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant for dinner, and overall, it was a fantastic experience. The food was exceptional, earning a solid 5 out of 5, with every dish beautifully prepared and bursting with flavor. The service was also commendable, rating a 4. The staff was attentive and friendly, although there were a couple of minor delays. The atmosphere was pleasant, receiving a score of 4 as well, with a nice ambiance that complemented the meal. The price range is between $50 to $100 per person, which I felt was reasonable for the quality of the food and service. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a delightful dining experience!"

"Great food (chili was amazing) and tried 2 different German beers which went down easy on a gorgeous day! The 2 stars are for the hidden surcharge on our bill for tipping the kitchen staff. Tips were historically for underpaid wait staff who were providing a excellent service, not for back room, non-customer facing staff who should be getting a fair wage. Why are you asking customers to make up for your lack of a fair wage for kitchen staff? Deplorable! Any hidden surcharges should be advertised to the customers ahead of time. Also, what impact does it have on the tips provided to the waitstaff, have you considered that? We will not return."

"I had this recommended by a coworker and boy oh boy was I thrilled to have made the decision to stop for lunch! Some of the friendliest people working here! And the food was phenomenal!! I got the honey cheese bread for an appetizer and the Dude Ranch Pizza for myself with the mountain pie style crust. Words honestly cannot describe how impressed I am with this place! I will 100% be returning and introducing it to friends and family!! I also ordered their seasonal drink and it was delicious and strong! Not usually an alcohol drinker so it was almost too much for me but the over all flavor was great! Absolutely give this place a try even if you have to drive a bit out of the way for it! Dietary restrictions: They do offer vegetarian/vegan and gluten free options Parking: The parking was a bit odd but there was plenty when I went. There are paid parking lots in several spots for the main strip. There is also paid street parking but the city tends to block off certain streets that can make it kind of difficult to navigate but overall not too crazy"
