"It was our first time here and we have lived in Rockwall for a few years. They accommodated us in a timely manner for a large party of 14. First off, I’m disappointed that the owner did not come to us to try to fix the problems because he was working that night. The adults were finishing eating before the 2 kids got their food. I had to cancel 1 kids meal because our toddler couldn’t wait any longer and we shared with him. My 80 yr old grandmother wanted the kids meal because she doesn’t eat a lot and the waitress should have told us that she was gonna place the order for the whole entree instead, we would have just shared a plate instead. Most places are okay with seniors ordering a smaller meal. Next, the waitress went back and forth that my mom’s plate (El Largo) did not come with rice or beans but would go check with her manager. She came back with the menu to show us and we explained to her the special plate does come with rice and beans. Then my BIL wanted an entree of popcorn chicken with fries but they only have it in a kids meal, so they decided to charge us 4 times the kids price. We spent 2.5 hours here and it was such a waste of time. We even had to help the waitress pass out the bills out and turned them in to her. I wished there was better team work for the waitress because our waitress was drowning and needed guidance that wasn’t provided because the owner never came to help her out on the floor. We will never return and hope no one else experience what we did. Very poor ownership, most places want to make things right."

I got the special which was a stuffed avocado. To me, the food was a little pricey, but the drinks weren’t bad. The service was good, and plenty of seating Friday during lunch!

I have never had food this terrible. The only decent thing was the chips and salsa. Everything else seemed to come from a can, bag, or pre-made. It was disappointing to see such lack of freshness, especially for a restaurant claiming to serve Mexican food. We spent $100 for 3 people, ordering fajitas for 2 and carne a la tampiqueña, which turned out to be frozen fajitas precooked and served from a box. The tortillas were cold, the beans came from a can, the guacamole from a bag, and the pico de gallo was tasteless. It was a disappointing dining experience.
