Service was very friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious ? greatatmosphere. Wasn't super busy when I went (late afternoon) but there was definitely a steady flow of guests, which is awesome!

The interior of the restaurant was stunning, and the atmosphere was delightful. The staff was friendly too. While the food was decent overall, the cabbage had way too much pepper, though the mac and cheese was delicious. I would rate this place 3 stars, but I don’t think I would come back.

Food flavorful, good portions. BUT....chef may have overdone the use of salt, especially in the collards. The hamburger steak, horrible. Fried chicken wing was light pink inside. Pork ribs looked and taste like they were boiled and cooked in an oven. Greens and cabbage horrible. They were dry in appearance and taste. Lemonade was a bottle of sugar water. I threw everything away. Never before and never again.

The atmosphere was nice. There was live music. The food was good. the menu for the hamburger and gravy was confusing as it doesn't mention rice but it comes with it. The hostess didn't share this information either upon ordering. The pink lemonade was delicious. The collards were seasoned well but were plated with too much juice for my liking.

Wow reading Thur the comments. I'm amazed at heartfelt negative comments. Place is of great decor my visits has been pleasant. However, to attest to the saltyness of collards and extremely hot j Service was amazing fast as my partner stated and for the most part a pleasant staff. However, if I may suggest to the owner be a bit more involved in the preparation of menu, food ingredients. No shortcuts. I ordered cornbread and mac and cheese as sides, hoping to switch the cornbread for yams that I noticed on the menu. However, they wouldn’t allow me to make the swap because the yams cost more. Instead, they said I would have to pay extra for the yams rather than just trading them out. When I asked for tartar sauce for my catfish nuggets, the server gave me one packet, but when I requested more, she completely ignored me. I also had to wait quite a while for my food. Overall, it was just okay—I'd rate it a 7 out of 10. I ended up spending $15 for the catfish, one side, and a piece of cornbread.

Good restaurant for dining in. Food is good and customer service is good. Catering on the other hand displays no professionalism, lack of communication, too many people to deal with which becomes confusing. Voicemail when you call in is ALWAYS full so you can't leave a message. Catering section is not organized at All. Food prices are miss quoted. These issues are when Cater over the phone. Don't know how things work when you go inside to get or obtain Catering service. Overall my recommendations would be to just dine in. The Food is Great compliments to the COOKS. OH! When catering food prices are reasonable if you are quoted the correct price.

My turkey wings were excessively salty—I could only manage two bites. The turnip greens were so salty that I had to dilute them in a pot of water to tone down the overpowering spice and saltiness. The potato salad was good, but the mac and cheese was inedible, being soggy with an unrecognizable cheese flavor. The fried shrimp, though, was tasty. What frustrated me the most was when we arrived on Wednesday around 5:30 PM and were informed before placing our order that there was no cornbread, oxtails, collard greens, or yams available.
