"We LOVE Union and eat here all the time. This week my brother, who has celiac, was visiting. They were so accommodating, and he said it's the best pizza he's had since he was diagnosed and that he'll be dreaming about coming back again. Thank you for helping a pizza lover be able to enjoy pizza again!"

Excellent Detroit-style pizza here with very friendly people. The outside seating is super relaxing during the warmer months.

Incredible food terrible seating. In the afternoon the sun beats down on you and it becomes unbearable to be inside. No air conditioning and no way to block out the light. View menu

Try Jets in skokie insteadDon't know what the big hype is all about.ordered the pepperoni and it was way toooo salty! Left half the pizza.Honestly Jets is wayyyy better! And cheaper

The pizza was fresh properly the best Detroit style I’ve ever had. However the size you get vs the price is criminal. Either double the size or charge a reasonable price which is $4.

Absolutely amazing. Fantastic atmosphere. AND vegan beer! Only negative. They do not sell by the slice and I will eat the whole thing by myself! $29 margherita pizza, $6 beer. #Veganuary View menu

Much smaller restaurant than the pics here show. Pizza was pretty good, not great, only 2 staff up front for seating, orders, waiting, etc. That probably explains why there was no toilet paper in the bathroom.I would go back to give it another shot, though.

Pizza was really good, but I wouldn't say it's quite Detroit style, as only the edges were a bit crispy. Traditional Detroit style is usually crispy on the sides and bottom, pretty much the entire exterior, while the center is nice and fluffy. But, for Chicago, this was one of my top 3 favorites.

"My wife and I wanted a nice laid-back place to sit outside and enjoy a fun dinner. We ended up being very disappointed by the service. Our server took about 10-15 minutes to get to the table (which feels like an eternity when you are waiting to order beverages). They took our drink order and quickly returned with a cocktail and waters but the beer we ordered was delayed by a few minutes. Not a big deal, but then the night went south. We didn't see our server again for a very long time. We started to feel like our appetizer was a little delayed when food runners showed up with our entrees. No app in sight. We let them know and eventually the server brought our app. But we were halfway into the meal by that point. The food tasted fine. Nothing extraordinary but not bad. The nachos, I admit, were delicious. The mac and cheese we ordered was described to have bread crumbs but was missing that. Fortunately the server had it taken care of pretty quickly. We were never asked about having our drinks refilled. And after eating, we waited a long time for our check. It just seemed to take forever for everything. None of the problems by themselves would have been a big deal, but together it added up to a somewhat unpleasant experience. The server was nice and apologetic. They also comped us the appetizer which was nice. May have been an off night or maybe a new server, but I can't say I would recommend going on a Saturday night. Also, we did enjoy the outdoor seating area. It was a little tight, but the ambiance was nice."
