"One particular issue I had was with the salsa served with the chips. It was fermenting and had a strong fizz to it, with visible bubbles. I can’t help but wonder how long “fresh” salsa can sit out before it starts to ferment. They did replace it with a fresh batch that was said to have “arrived today,” which I appreciated. However, this was a bit strange since the menu described the salsa as “housemade.” By definition, “housemade” means it should be prepared on-site, not sourced from an external vendor. If it came from somewhere else, then it isn’t truly housemade. This inconsistency leaves me with some trust issues regarding the menu."

I absolutely love this place! I remember when it was just a small spot, and now it looks fantastic. I'm so glad they've transformed it into a cozy venue where you can enjoy a beer and some delicious food. Food: 5/5!

Very enjoyed my experience in Upland! I went to expect them, is a good beer, and it is certainly delivered, but I was also impressed by the entire ambience, service and especially the food! And yes, I went with a great beer!

Good spot in the area. I prefer their sours to the other styles but solid beer all around. Their tofu is awesome. I get the Thai tofu salad. Good mix of veg, tofu and a touch of spice from the dressing. They have good hummus as well. Have outdoor seating.

I had a peach salad and two dishes that were simply amazing; I couldn't resist taking some home. The seasoned sandwiches, blue cheese coleslaw, and macaroni and cheese were all delicious. They also offered great options for vegan and vegetarian diets. The service was fantastic! View menu

First time at Upland, and I was very impressed! Everything I ate was amazing, the only apprehension was the price for the entres. I will have to go back another time to try them out, since I only had a burger, which was solid. Service and atmosphere were both good as well.Food: 5/5

The tomato pie is delicious and so different from anything I've ever had. Also really enjoyed the blackberry and beet salad. I will say that I've also had the same two menu items at the Castleton location and I did prefer the preparation at that location better. Only tip for improvement: the music was way too loud for a Sunday brunch. Otherwise, loved this place.Vegetarian options: Good selection.

I must say wasn't the best visit we ever had last Wednesday. It appeared to be under staffed 2 servers and 1 food runner. Our ticket was lost for an hour which didn't make sense because the food we received sat under a heat lamp for probably an hour. Nachos fused together on one lump. Pork taco meat crusted over and tortillas were like weapons. Beers took 45min from the time we sat down. We were there for 3 hrs not by choice. If we return it will be for beer or not...Sad because it's a convenient walk and we love that....

Upland is a great choice when it comes to bar food. This location is no exception. We arrived with a rather large party but they accommodated us immediately. Our waitress was super nice to us and ready to serve.I had the pretzel as an appetizer and it was awesome! The beer cheese was also tasty. As my entree I got the Bacon Beer Cheese burger. And honestly, it was awesome! Cooked the way I like it, the fries were good, overall everything was great!I’ll definitely make a stop here again if I’m hanging around on College Ave.

"My son was in from California so we wanted to take him to Tony’s. We have been before and think highly of the restaurant. Positives: Calamari, wedge, steaks and pasta were very good.Positives: My mother who is very picky loved her steak although she did send it back because it was not hot when it came to the table. She still raved about it even after that. That is really something.Negatives: Lobster tail was so over cooked it came out all curled up. It took me a minute to even figure it out. I sent it back. They asked if I wanted another one. I said “no”. I was getting full anyway so no reason to add another to the bill since they obviously do not know how to cook it. Suggestion if you don’t know how to cook it then take it off of the menuNegative: Preoccupied waiter. I would have gotten a glass of wine with dinner. Waiter never asked. I have been to Tony’s before and have had very attentive waiters. Not this time.Negative: Not Tony’s fault but a large table by us were drunk and very loud. Negative: I have no desire to come back. Their steaks are very good but if you can’t cook a lobster tail it puts Tony’s as a great steakhouse in Indy at the bottom of the list. Their credibility is gone to me. Suggestion: Bringing a nice piece of desert to the table on the house would have been a nice gesture and then I may have wanted to come back. They had a full house so a party of was probably not a priority"

"Inside, you’ll find seating at tables and the bar, along with a pleasant patio area that overlooks the sidewalk. They also have a self-serve water station in the front. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the place left much to be desired. I chose to sit at the bar, and it appeared to have not been wiped down all day. The floor was quite dirty as well. The staff did what was necessary, but seemed to lack enthusiasm. You can customize your own bowl or select one of their signature options. Feeling adventurous, I decided to create my own bowl. Regardless of your choice, you start with a base. I opted for traditional sushi rice over brown rice and spring mix salad. Next, I had to select a protein. The size of your bowl determines how many scoops you receive. The regular size allows for two scoops, so I chose one scoop of spicy tuna and one of marinated salmon, although options like octopus, tofu, and shrimp are also available. After that, you can add various toppings and sauces. I have to admit, my bowl was quite tasty and packed with protein. The atmosphere was relaxed, with music playing softly in the background. Unlike the other location I've visited, this one doesn't offer shaved ice, just poke. Overall, I found this place to be just average compared to other locations I've tried, which is why I’m giving it a 3-star rating. The poke was decent, but everything else felt pretty standard at best."
