Upstairs At Caroline

The restaurant is great. Upstairs, however, not so much. The vibe is immaculate. However, Benny needs to learn how to make a drink. We ordered 7 drinks, and every single one of them tasted watered down. I would recommend bartenders 101.Food: 4/5

I was looking for a quick spot to grab a bite while downtown, and although the atmosphere wasn't really my style, my server Lilly truly exceeded my expectations. She took great care to accommodate my dietary restrictions and had a wonderfully fun demeanor. I really appreciated her unique style! Food: 4/5.

I hosted a Happy Hour at Upstairs and had a tab to cover the cost of food and drinks for me and 20 of my friends. Upstairs is a great spot. Alex was such an amazing server! She attended to each of our needs with such a sweet spirit with kindness even though she had several other tables to serve. I know she is one of the important reasons why your establishment will continue to be successful. Our waitress, Joy, was absolutely fantastic and provided us with excellent service! This restaurant was the ideal spot for my husband and me. We began our evening on 6th Street, which was crowded with college students and a bit overwhelming. However, the Congress district was much more suitable, and this place was incredible! It had a mature atmosphere while still being lively and enjoyable!

Such a fun little indoor and outdoor patio bar. There’s a few couches and a few tables on the inside as well as a pool table indoors. The outdoor part has tons of picnic tables and patio furniture conversation sets. There’s jenga and corn hole available to play outside. Downtown Austin, on Congress and 7th. 1st time, we chose it because it was pet friendly and rooftop type place. Our waitress was great. Music was great. Food not so great. Not many menu items. The Mexican Shrimp Cocktail was not at all what was on the menu description. It was small pieces of shrimp on a bed of lettuce, tomato and a nickel size, what we think was pico. We mentioned to the guy (whom by the way, looked to be a manager) who brought some of our food out, that we ordered a Mexican Shrimp Cocktail, he looked at it and said that's what it was. Ok but it didn't have Cucumber, Radish, Cilantro or Avocado.

Upstairs at Caroline is an ideal place for either a cozy chat or a fun gathering with friends. The atmosphere encourages conversation, thanks to its various seating areas and available games. It's also a dog-friendly venue, although I noticed I was among the few patrons with a dog. The staff was very attentive and went out of their way to ensure that both my dog and I felt comfortable, which I truly appreciated. While the food was somewhat average, there were plenty of happy hour specials to enjoy. The setting was perfect for a pleasant summer evening, featuring a flex space that seamlessly blends indoor and outdoor areas. I definitely plan to return with my pup!

We held my daughter's graduation party at this restaurant. Making the reservation was a bit challenging. After we reached out to the manager with our requested date, we didn't receive a response for quite a while. When we eventually did hear back, he provided us with a new menu that featured increased prices. We opted for the private buffet. Since the event was during lunchtime, we didn't meet the high minimum requirement. Additionally, the automatic gratuity was also quite steep.
