"Excellent service and a casual yet elegant atmosphere make this restaurant a great choice for both dates and family gatherings, as they can accommodate larger groups. The menu features some fantastic dishes. I tried the charcuterie, which was an interesting mix with lovely meats and one soft cheese. However, the limited selection of hard cheeses came with bland, brittle crackers, which meant we had to order focaccia — a choice we did not regret. The focaccia was a hit at our table, and we definitely plan to order it again if we return. Our server, Alexi, enhanced our experience with his attentive service. He recommended the peach margarita, and I have to say it was spot on, crafted by him! The atmosphere was pleasantly lively, thanks to the happy diners all around us. Just a heads up about parking: it can be limited, so it's a good idea to ask for recommendations. "

Always exceptional. The food and service are top-notch. Vanda is undoubtedly our go-to option when we eat out.

The food here is absolutely incredible—only surpassed by the warm hospitality. This restaurant is truly perfect, located in an ideal spot. The meatballs and gnocchi are so tender they practically melt in your mouth. I could enjoy them every single night!

This restaurant is fantastic. The food is incredibly delicate—it's the best way to describe it. Each ingredient, flavor, and item on the menu is thoughtfully crafted with intention. It's a wonderful addition to Apponaug, and the bustling crowd on Friday night certainly demonstrated that. View menu

We had an excellent dining experience! My wife and I both enjoyed the gnocchi, and I paired mine with meatballs, which I highly recommend. The service was outstanding; our server, Amy, was friendly, knowledgeable, and well-versed in the menu. She also suggested the focaccia, which turned out to be the best we've had. This place is definitely worth a visit, and we plan to return. Food rating: 5/5.

A neighborhood gem! Every aspect of Vanda was fantastic. Dino and his team were welcoming and incredibly hospitable, the decor and atmosphere were delightful, and the food was superb. The cuisine is inspired by southern Italian cooking, with every dish made from the freshest ingredients or imported directly from Italy. The flavors were bright and light yet rich with complexity. I’m eagerly looking forward to my next visit!

The food was top-notch, earning a perfect score of 5. The service was equally impressive, also receiving a full 5 out of 5. The atmosphere was inviting and pleasant, although I would rate it a solid 4. If you visit, I highly recommend trying the Gnocchi Alla Sorrentina – it’s a must-have! View menu

To make matters worse, despite being a party of two, there was a table ready and empty for the entire two hours we were there. We chose to sit at the bar, which meant we had to shout to have a conversation. The bartender was just as arrogant, seeming irritated to serve us while she chatted with others about her dating life. The only bright spot was the food, which was absolutely delicious, and the gentleman who brought it was friendly and pleasant—definitely a refreshing change. That said, I'm torn about returning, mainly due to the unwelcoming and rude staff.

The food at this restaurant is absolutely fantastic. I must admit, I’m a bit hesitant to rate or review it because I don’t want it to become so popular that getting a reservation becomes difficult. This place is a true hidden gem—the service is excellent, and the food is remarkable. Their wine list is impressive, and the pasta is mouthwatering. In the year and a half that we've been coming here, I haven’t had a single disappointing dish. I’ve recommended it to family and friends and strongly encourage anyone looking for outstanding Italian cuisine south of Providence to check it out! Be sure to order the focaccia, too.

"We have been coming here for 28 years. I brought my kids here I brought my grandkids here and my mother-in-law and father-in-law live down the street quarter mile. The last few trips to Rhode Island we were unable to get to Iggy's so it's been a couple of years. We ordered the fish and chips, we ordered red chowder, white chowder and of course clam cake. To say our hearts broke is an understatement. The clam cakes used to be full of clams and had odd shapes because they were hand dropped.. these look definitely balled up like meatballs; like they were shaped.. if not frozen and then reheated. Hardly any clams in the clam cake. My husband was excited when he found one clam chunk; sarcastically excited. I remember boasting about how you could stick a spoon straight up in the chowder..not this one it was runny and watery and disgusting. It didn't even taste like clams it tasted like potato soup..barely. The red chowder wasn't even red it was like a mix between clear and red but someone decided to throw in three little canned tomato pieces. The baked scallops were soggy and disgusting and the french fries, even though I know they come frozen, we're nothing to boast about either. The fish n chips disappointed. It used to be a fish that barely fit in the container and now it's a fish that could fit in one side portion of the container. The baked scrod was not bad but it just looked ick. Iggy's threw a small piece of fish in with some squishy side vegetables and some rice pilaf that look like it came out of a bag premade. All of the lemons they gave us were disgusting and smelled like soap and were oily; so we had to throw them out. The only pictures I could take was right before my husband dumped it all down the sink. We had guests for lunch who had never had Iggy's and we must have boasted and boasted about it for hours before it arrived. We spent well over $240 on this order and I feel like we got ripped off big time by Iggy's. We will not come back anymore. I can understand the price hikes and I can understand the economy but I cannot understand changing recipes that made this place famous. I now feel 100% confident that my white chowder is better than theirs any day of the week. And that is something that I would never have said over the two plus decades we have been coming here. Is so sad when a childhood memory turns into an adult nightmare. Do better Iggy's... Just do better. Economy be damned don't screw with the chowder and the clam cakes. After all that's what made you famous and that was the original menu. -Sad and disappointed, Local Oakland Beacher. They're so-called red chowder is picture here and my mother-in-law sink. I should have just set my money on fire."
